If we get a 4-0 before halftime then time to get Jesus, Foden, and #26 on with Lyon coming up which will be a tough match.

Indeed. Interesting he doesn’t get a shout for France as he was the under 21 captain I believe.

I think there are hints he may play for Spain instead.

Rumor is that’s one of the reasons he hasn’t been called in for France. Deschamps didn’t like the fact he considered playing for Spain.

Can he do that after he played for the U21 squad?

A player only gets capped tied when they play a competive match for the senior national team, if they play a friendly for the senior national team they can still make a one time switch.

And get himself sent off no doubt, the cunt of a ref has given us one free kick that I've seen, hammers edging into double figures!!!

Yeah I recall this as well. Oddly enough is that he’s Basque who of course are not exactly historically the biggest supporters of Spain, politically, and my guess why he played for France instead.

Catalonian players now under more political pressure and play for Spain, but their recent history iant exactly the same as the ETA. However the ETA disbanded this year and that conflict has been dying down so time is right for him especially with Ramos and pique aging out.
