Took a penalty against him once when I was a kid think it was at a charity event for the silver jubilee. He used to live in Sale, remember the advert in the match programme do you want to buy big Joe's house? when he left to go to the states. Was reading recently about the cup tie at Leeds when Leeds came on the pitch and he smacked a lad who he said foolishly went in the back of his net and threw the first punch.
