I believe Pep has his eye on one competition only and it isn't the Premier League.

Hope the result has topped off a good birthday for you

Well spotted!

Actually the fact that my son and his girlfriend can only come and visit on Christmas Day has put a bit of a dampener on it, but I did have a good day, thank you.

Southampton is my home town and second team, and it has been pleasing to see them doing well too. I used to go to The Dell with my Dad and Grandad, a walk from Bitterne where we lived. Saw Terry Paine on occasion, a genuine legend. Over 800 appearances for The Saints. I've just been reading about him. Still alive at 81, in the '66 World Cup squad though only played against Mexico.

Pep praising Ward Prowse now, best kicker he's ever seen....seems to have moved on from Redmond

Please buy a striker. FFS, how rich are we?

if we'd been playing in your front garden you'd have closed the curtains ...right??

This, should have been shedload. We look solid but need a spark upfront

Didnt see the west brom game only followed it on here. Watched todays game. Soton created very little and second halff fuck all. Once again we had the chances on the break and how we didnt put 4-5 past these fuck knows
Massively underwhelmed, but got to say an excellent 3 points. Keep the two cbs and crack on

If we had a world class forward who fills his boots we would have hammered Spurs and the saints WBA scoring a ton of goals. It needs sorting, we saw what can happen V WBA. I do hope January is not wasted or we may as well accept we are making up the numbers.

So now we're a one man team? Hundreds of millions spent to be a one man team? We said the vermins are shit without van dick, well that theory went pants. Granted a top striker makes the difference but you still expect the team to contribute more than what's on show goal wise

Pep knows we are in trouble if we cannot finish, let only the take half chances and occupy a defence. Tevez, Dzeko we had depth upfront. We were in a very competitive game v. a decent Saints 0-5 if we had that X factor IMO. A top player upfront does not square it he finishes it’s his job.
