The latest one yet! Apparently, another side effect of the pandemic is less interest in football. The Blades matchday thread was only started last night at 10.40pm, so this is really cobbled together from a few other threads. After the midweek game, there is talk of doing a (Manchester) double. They have done the research and the last time they did this double was 1973-74. Beating the rags is one thing, this afternoon it will be a completely different game. For the record, I have not included any comments from their own view from thread.
COME ON CITY!!!

Assistant VAR: Peter Kirkup.
And the rest…
34 years since we last won at Man City in the league, of the other current premier league clubs we have gone longer at 4. The longest being Aston Villa which was 55 years ago today.
Well after that magnificent result on Wednesday we now have the chance to follow it with more of the same against their city rivals... Lol. We can hope of course.
I expected nothing on Wednesday but wasn't fearing a hammering. Rightly or wrongly I feel exactly the same this afternoon... But fingers crossed as always... 2 nil defeat. Lol.
Come on my lovely Blades, show the watching world that Wednesday night was no fluke. Let’s give these overblown fuckers a game. If it’s too late to save ourselves from relegation, let’s at least cause a few problems for the knobs at the top.
Wednesday night was the boiler plate for this one…Tougher opponents than manure but if we absorb the pressure and look to hit on the break, if we keep our discipline and work hard for each other, if everyone can play at the top of their game again we could stay in this one to the end. And you never know.
Let's just try and keep the score down and then sneak a win against west rom and one more point after that so we finish on 12 anything after that is a bonus.
With West Brom after Man City, we just need to try and get through this match without losing the confidence boost that Wednesday night’s win will have given us…A draw would be unbelievable, but a narrow defeat with us scoring wouldn’t be too bad in our quest for 12 points.
No De Bruyne, thats a good start.
I am torn between watching WBA v Fulham knock each other out or watch Man City knock us out.
I just want another performance from us…that would be brilliant!
4-0. They are too good at the minute
I don’t think we should worry too much about team selection against Man City. Nobody upon nobody would have scribbled down that starting 11 as their ideal team to beat Man U at Old Trafford.
City are a much better side and squad than Man U. Man U is basically De Gea, Maguire, Fernandes, Rashford and any of the others who fancy turning up that week. City is a style of play and ethos throughout the squad…I'd bring Egan in and stick with the same front two.
Feels like a Cup Final tomorrow.
