A cold Wednesday evening in Burnley, YAY. The Clarets have a lot on their minds now including a dodgy take over and no action in the transfer window. The last thing they need is a visit from Pep and the boys. Its not surprising that these comments are cobbled together from several different threads. Hope they make sense.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Martin Atkinson
Assistants: Constantine Hatzidakis, Eddie Smart
Fourth official: Anthony Taylor
VAR: Stuart Attwell
Assistant VAR: Marc Perry

Team Selection

Pope
Long Tarkowski Mee
Bardsley Cork Brownhill Westwood Pieters
McNeil
Rodriguez

And the rest…

Well the club management are not concerned in the slightest are they. Most people on here can't even be bothered to comment so disillusioned are they. Stephens remains the sole activity for 2 transfer windows for a club with little creativity and no pace. Not even a token gesture kid from a top club signed on loan or anything. I do not understand this club at all. If we get relegated, then what? There is no money lower down and we appear to have no ambition to play in the top league judging by our efforts.

If Dyche shares our gloom and disbelief this morning, Burnley Football Club is going into freefall and fast.

It will be an exhibition match.Target practice for citeh.

Anything less than 0-5 will be a bonus.

Looks like the tried and trusted " fingers crossed " approach for the rest of the season.

We're not likely to get anything from the City game…whoever plays as long as we keep the score respectable…So hopefully a few will be back for the Brighton game…as that's important and one we can't afford to lose.

So, after all the cry-arising, Dyche wasn’t overly bothered about strengthening the squad last month.

Just get it over with and then move on to teams on our level…Let them bask in the glory and they can then bugger off from whence they came.

Damage limitation, no injuries, no suspicions and dont be tiring ourselves out chasing shadows.

Hopefully City go easy too…Just a nice and undisgraced routine 0-3 hopefully…The big game is Saturday.

Expect a heavy defeat tomorrow and another defeat Saturday.

don't worry lads, City play Liverpool away this weekend so will probably play their reserves.

One small glimmer of hope, our nemesis Kevin De Bruyne is injured so it might be closer than many on here are predicting.

I think we should go with our strongest 11 because even 1 point might be enough for PL survival…I would try a different formation though 4-4-1-1.

We should field our strongest side. We’re not giving City the points. They won’t like playing in the conditions In town today. Inch of snow Last night and overnight Tuesday it’s to be a cold one and Only 3-5 degrees For Wednesday.

3 points at stake (as per Liverpool game), so strongest team hopefully.

I don’t count any games as free hits other than v Man City. I expect we can all predict the game plan and outcome. It hasn’t worked before so we will do it again. I would play a weakened team as we don’t want injuries for the Brighton match.

Well doesn't look like turfmoor is a happy place ala Jordan North eh!!

This has banana skin written all over it, even when we were struggling early season i was ok but I'm worried about this one, mainly about injuries but also lose this and it sets out a negative stall for the dippers game Sunday

I'm with Hants in the respect of a potential banana skin. But really, we should beat these with the form we are in. Just hope we focus on the game in hand rather than the one at the weekend

Banana skin WTF ? how ? City are rampant at the moment, it doesn't matter which eleven go out , we are getting results . I simply do not understand the skepticism. The squad has patience ( re FA Cup ) , confidence , talent and fitness to see it all through.
