100%.
It was clear as day when they came back from Clubs World Cup and won at Leicester.
But of course we will never find out the whole story, it is well buried.

Like many, I’ve watched quite a few of their games this season and noted that they weren’t anything special until they came out all guns blazing against Spurs. They were lucky in that game but it was very noticeable how the energy and tempo changed, lasting only a couple of games.

Now, with many injuries and the tempo completely gone, it does sort of suggest that official PEDs can only be used for so long.

Its just a pity that no-one has called this out. Obvious to every fan and his dog that last season was 'unusual' even without the favorable calls from officials and VAR. Pretty much went through the season with the same line-up and no injuries sustained whilst playing at 100 mph?
They've had their season in the sun, the front 3 seem uninterested, believing their own hype and there is now fuckall behind them tio supply. Can't say i will shed a tear the scouse bastards

When all the media was gushing about them, I used to think, fuck me that midfield, not one would get anywhere near City squad, then the weird, decisions goalkeepers throwing the ball in own net, it was not sustainable. They will probably find their true position of sixth when the dust settles, back where they belong the cheating odious, murdering set of grabastic amphibious dog shit that they are.

Didn't the same thing happen at Dortmund, where they were known as a running team, only finally to blow up in the end, finding themselves mid table, or is my memory failing me?

Thanks BiB,

It seems to have always been the case that the sports authorities and the sports' drug authorities are always several steps behind the laboratories.
It also seems that global top level sports are increasingly tied to finance via owners and sponsors.
Add to that, there are a number of sustances that positively affect performance that are currently legal.
And finally there is the use or abuse of the TUE system. (Therapeutic Use Exemptions).

I don't fully know what the drud testing regime is in domestic football but all sports seem to have different regimes.
There is a massive space for anyone or any club that chooses to to use legal sustances that improve performance or to use club doctors to issues unecessary TUEs.

WADA & UKAD don't appear to have the necessary resources to keep pace with well funded laboratories nor the official sports, bodies and the many and various sponsors.

''You fill your players lungs up with Asthma medicine, then caffeine them up before kick-off and they'll outwork anyone...But that - whilst they found loopholes to ensure is a legal approach - is only a cyclical and short-term approach.. That can't go on forever. As it seems, from two examples now, it lasts for a little above two years''

Totally agree Carl.We know doping of some sort or another abounds in many top level sports but the various sports authorities, the sponsors, partners and media all have a vested interest to retain the omerta.
The biggest problem is that fans of clubs will always be in denial about their own, thus blocking any mass movement to block what is happening in our sport.
