Whether we do well in this competition will largely depend on how much we can get out of Aguero.
We absolutely need him to hit top form in the latter stages of this competition. That might well be too big of an ask, we will see.
Look at what PSG have and Bayern have. They have players who wont dick about in front of goal. And that at the top level is the defining difference.
We will get away with it in the premier league playing average and poor teams but we wont get away with it in the latter stages of this competition.
That sums it up for me, but people think that there is an agenda against Sterling, Gabby or Mahrez.
There isn't, it's just the desire to solve our existing issues in order to be safe later.
Everyone was shouting: fix your defence. He did, not look where we are on the back.
I don't think he needs to sell Sterling and Gabby, but give them a proper bollocking. Sterling was upset he got sub last night, you could read it on his face. Why? Because he was thinking he is having a good game.
That's the problem.

How do you know what he was thinking? Could've been disappointed at his own performance.

A genuine question, what's more important to you, scoring bucket load or winning at any cost (not Jose way)? You could score 5 and end up drawing, it's about putting it into perspective.
Don't get me wrong I'd love us to score more, I agree Gabby should do better, Sterling can improve but why jeapordise a working formula that isn't solely based on attack?
I for one fancy our chances, Dias is a colossal, he's made for this competition, something we've lacked for years, for me, our defensive duo could make the difference in the latter stages as supposed to relying on Sterling's finishing.

Acknowledge the fact PeP went more mental than me and NT because the 2 dummies upfront being fucking wasteful..time after time...again.
Or do you think PeP was over reacting ?..maybe all of us who diss ineptness in front of goal are just as fucking deluded as PeP is ?

Acknowledge the fact PeP went more mental than me and NT put together because of the 2 dummies upfront being fucking wasteful ,time after time after time.............PeP knows (Like a few of us fans on here knows) that these kind of misses against the PSG's or Bayern's will cost us the CL....Sterling already cost us advancing in the CL last year with his ANAL miss from 2 center meters against Lyon.....this cant happen again and yet here we are discussing Sterling's continued misses against a shitty mid table team from Germany.
You raise your eyebrows at me and NT for the dissing we gave out at Sterling and Jesus at the shocking misses yet not a peep out of you at PG's touchline melt down?..that's just reserved for fans like me so you can join in with some others at the 'absurdity' of some fans slating shit performances from one or 2 players whilst the team is on a 19 game winning streak ?? how very dare we !!!.....(message PeP to tell him to stop whining!!)

Can you read? I've acknowledged earlier this season and again now that we have a finishing problem this season.

I can read and write..Spanish and English - I read your little sarcastic comment to Beefy s response about being happy clappy.
You wonder why you get prickly responses !

“I’m not bothered about the score” - like we didn’t win our first Prem title on goal difference. That’s key. Beating United 6-1 that season - fans weren’t bothered about the score then? If as a fan you’re not bothered about the score - don’t celebrate us winning the league.
The people that are happy just winning 1-0 are still stuck in the mindset that we should be grateful just to win because 20 years ago we were shit. Times have changed and GD is a big factor now.
We destroyed Liverpool the other week - would I have been happy with 1-0 before the match? Yes absolutely. Was I “bothered” that we won 4-1 and I could celebrate like a mad man? Absolutely 100%
I want to watch my team score as many as possible. That’s why I had a season ticket for twenty seasons in a row before my daughter was born. Why would I want to go and watch my team and not be bothered if we win 1-0 or 5-0? Sport is entertainment. If you’re happy with a 1-0 then why support the team? Turn the TV off once we’re one up?
Especially in a two legged tie where we have been punished before for not finishing things in the first leg.

At what point did I say 'Im not bothered about the score'?
My sole argument is based on chimps league not premier League in case you're confused.
I also said Sterling and Gabby should do better, the stick Sterling gets is OTT.
Without sounding sarcastic, how did we get on in the chimps league in previous years with our high scoring expansive football again?
Maybe just maybe the pragmatic approach may get us further in the competition? That's not say I'm against fans seeking more goals, I'm just trying to see the bigger pic.
Feel free to skip my post

I'd always want a player to be disappointed when they are being subbed (even if they are having a bad game). At least it shows they want to be on the pitch.
It would be worse if a player was happy to be subbed.

The average and poor teams in the Prem include Liverpool and Chelsea who both look like getting to the last 8 with us and we've scored 4 and 3 against them away in the last 2 months.
Bayern got beat this year at BM.
i really don't get the negativity.
