I missed the first 15 mins of the game, was it explained why carsen started over Steffen?

The way it came across was; that it was a massive thank you from Pepto give him his debut.
I am told that he is hugely popular with the other players, which was seen by their reaction at the end when they made a huge fuss of him.

Apparently Carsen does a lot of good work with the other players on the training ground and they see him as a father fugure to go to.

Jesus does a lot of good things apart from not scoring goals. At current form, I much rather see him than e.g. Sterling in the starting 11.

With you 100% on this. He’s massively under appreciated by many of our fans, and I get some of the frustration with his lack of goals, but the rest of his game is outstanding and massively undervalued. Keep him on the left or right side (like tonight?) and we’re sorted when Foden or Mahrez (never thought I’d be typing that!) don’t play.

Hes there to score goals and win us the 'Big ' games, and he 100% fails at that.............he also blows hot and cold as far as a supporting act is concerned...just look at the last few games hes played in ( Granted ,he played ok yesterday against shitty Newcastle but against the big boys hes been average at best)
IMO we need to replace him, as he will not be happy being a squad player...he can take Sterling with him as well.

Gabby is not a bad guy, somewhat he is a useful squad player, but he needs a new place to continue his career. Same with Raheem.
Not bad players, by all means, but we can't rely on them anymore.
No one is guilty, is just one of those things when you need a change.

On Friday they kept repeating the tackle from the one side only and not from this side , where it is clear that Ake only tries to block a shot and Joe Slips and stands on Ake . Very, very bad refereeing.
