City v Everton Tickets

Postby bluemoon » Mon May 10, 2021 7:09 pm

Manchester City is delighted to confirm that it will welcome back 10,000 supporters to the Etihad Stadium for the Club’s final Premier League match of the season, at home to Everton on Sunday 23rd May, kick-off 4pm.

This follows confirmation today from the UK Government that Step 3 of the roadmap out of lockdown will come into effect on 17th May, allowing larger venues to open with 10,000 people (or 25% of capacity, whichever is lower).

The Club will operate a ballot for this match, with the majority of tickets made available to 2019/20 Seasoncard holders and Seasonal Hospitality members. A small allocation will also be made available to existing Cityzens Matchday members.

Commenting on the return of Manchester City supporters to the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City’s Managing Director of Operations, Danny Wilson said:

“We have missed the presence of our supporters on each and every match day throughout the pandemic, so it is fantastic news that we will be able to welcome them back to the Etihad Stadium for the Club’s final match of the league season.

The safety and welfare of every supporter who attends a match at the Etihad Stadium continues to be our priority and we have prepared exhaustively over several months to ensure that Government and Premier League protocols are fully implemented within our matchday operation.”

Simon Walker, Chair of City Matters, the Club’s elected fan representative panel, added:

“City Matters has worked closely with the Club to ensure all groups of fans have fair representation in the ballot.

During our discussions a number of proposals were made by City Matters, including the suggestion to make an allocation of tickets available to fans based on Ticket Points. We are pleased that the Club has taken our feedback on board and look forward to seeing our fans back at the Etihad Stadium”

Match Ticket Information

Seasoncard Holders with a minimum of 22,000 Ticket Points
Following consultation with the Club’s elected fan representative panel, City Matters, an allocation of tickets will be made available to all 2019/20 Seasoncard holders with a minimum of 22,000 Ticket Points. Should supporters qualify for a ticket this way, their options are as follows:

Attend on your own. From Saturday 15th May, go online and purchase your match ticket.
Attend with friends and family. Enter the ballot with your chosen friends and family and we will notify you on Friday 13th May if you have been successful.
a) If you are successful in the ballot, purchase your tickets with your friends and family.
b) If you are unsuccessful in the ballot, you retain the right to purchase alone on Saturday 15th May.

Seasoncard Holders
From 9am, Tuesday 11th May, all 2019/20 Seasoncard holders will be able to enter the Manchester City v Everton ballot. Simply log in to your online account to submit your entry. The ballot will close at 11:59pm on Thursday 13th May.

Cityzens Matchday Members
From 9am, Tuesday 11th May, existing Cityzens Matchday members will be able to enter the Manchester City v Everton ballot. Simply log in to your online account to submit your entry. The ballot will close at 11:59pm on Thursday 13th May.

Hope the "small allocation" for citizen matchday member will mean there's less chance. The 22,000 points thing is insane. I've has a platinum ST, plus cup scheme membership, for the best part of 15 years. Including my points from pre-ST days I've still only got 12,000 or so points......

What an absolute load of bollox this is. Should be season tickets only in any ballot who have been being committing to buy tickets up front for a season to now be told someone simply took a citizens membership and maybe have been to 1 game has the chance of getting a ticket is an awful slap in the face to the legacy fans

Wait I read it as 22k points have no extra advantage to any season ticket with the section below?

Anyone care to clarify ?

22k and above and you’ll be eligible to buy on weekend anything lower and you’re in the ballot.

Yeah, that's how I read it, too. But if you've got 22k points and your wife/husband/brother whatever that you normally go with has 21k, if you want to go with them, you need to enter the ballot.

But also it seems there's 2 different ballots: one for ST holders, the other for Citycard holders. It's a shame the club hasn't announced how many tickets/what proportion are available for each, but I suppose they won't know until the automatic right of those with 22k+ points has been fully taken up.

How did people get on with the ballott? Disappointed not to have got one and it’s a piss take that people that have barely attended managed to do so, but hey ho first world problems and all that.

An email from the club would’ve been appreciated but seems that was too much effort for the clowns.

I was successful in the ballot. Delighted, as someone who has supported City for over 25 years but can't attend loads of games due to staying in Scotland I would never have enough points to get a ticket for the last match of the season with a trophy presentation. Only slight disappointment is that my City loving 17 year old daughter wasn't a Cityzen member so she won't be able to attend. She's sitting exams at school just now so is happy enough that she's not got a full day away from studying.

Gutted! Season ticket holder for over 35 years. Been going regularly for nearly 40 years bit missed out.
Did all the cup schemes and the 'con' that was platinum.
Don't worry those who jumped on the bandwagon and go to 5-10 games a season will be made up to go to this one!

I was in the reserve pot and was in the queue when it opened at 8.30 this morning ready for the site to open at 9. I was 227th in the queue as soon as it opened which was great. I had tickets for me and my lad by 9.05.

Was at Wembley too for the League cup final. Now just need to get the champions League tickets for a covid clean sweep

Yeah, I am always on the champions League schemes. Depends on what criteria they select for this. I can see the starting criteria being you must have been on last season's champions League scheme, and be a seasoncard holder and 22k points. Then it goes down the pecking order just like away tickets. I have almost 8k points so it will be close if that's the case

Also take into account any superbia members though doubt there are many? as they are guaranteed a tkt should they want one. Only 6k tkts so doubt it will go lower than high teens myself. Derby tkts are usually gone at 19k
