UEFA ban Walker for three CL matches, not just one.

Ok let's find some examples of CL red cards that just got the standard single match ban ...just for fun

Done my best Johnny -:

Cristiano Ronaldo will only miss one UEFA Champions League game following his red card against Valencia, meaning he will be available for Juventus' two matches against former club Manchester United.

After the dismissal, the Bianconeri feared Ronaldo would be absent for the games against the Red Devils, but as Sky Sports News noted, he will only miss the upcoming contest with Young Boys:

Not bad ehh

City briefing strongly they won’t appeal. Presumably want to start the ban asap, not have him miss both quarter final legs plus don’t see much chance of success. It was a straightforward kick not even a vaguely mistimed tackle.

It was the same week that the Watford player just got booked for booting Jesus. I think that was probably on Walker’s mind. Really stupid thing to do though.

He only has himself to blame. Its hard enough without it being gifted to them on a plate.

Stupid, fucking stupid from him.
This is why you don't give UEFA a chance.

I think some players still don't understand the industry were they are and how many challenges they have just for playing for a club that is not in the cartel.

Apparently the Club are appealing after all having looked at recent precedents. I hope there’s no chance of the ban being extended. Also hope the ban if confirmed takes in the first leg of the round of 16.

UEFA do not increase suspensions on appeal and City hope to convince the governing body that the penalty imposed on Walker was too harsh.

Excellent, good to know somebody at the club took notice of my suggestion on here (eventually)

Confirmation of just how important Walker is to us.
Would be great to have him back for the quarters if we get there.

Do we know when we hear the outcome of the appeal?

Second leg of this round isn't an issue hopefully, but could really do with him back for the quarters.

No idea when they will respond but I have a couple of mildly “itk” snippets…

The club were not particularly confident initiating the appeal but felt they had a duty to do the right thing by their employee. They ended up feeling they had a decent case by the time it was all submitted last week, with this photo being one of the precedents cited (Muller got a 2 match ban)
