There are lots of narratives around this game. It’s the last home game of the season at their place, the "last dance for Mark Noble". They also have to think about Europe next year, which is probably the biggest incentive to get something from this game. The thing that scares me the most is that we have not won a game this season in which Anthony Taylor has been in charge (according to the interwebs). On a more positive note the team seem to be as determined as I have seen them to get goals and points from these last games. When we are in that kind mood I am much more optimistic about the outcome.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Anthony Taylor
Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn
Fourth official: Graham Scott
VAR: John Brooks
Assistant VAR: Simon Long

Team Selection

Fabianski
Coufal Dawson zouma Johnson
Rice soucek lanzini
Bowen Antonio fornals

And the rest…

Our penultimate game of the season, and our final home game. The last dance at home from Mr. Mark Noble.

A lot to play for for both sides…I think we will give them a good game but ultimately lose 3-1.

Tough decision for Moyes regarding Noble. Does he let his heart rule his head and either start him or save a substitution to bring him on, or neither?

No room for sentimentality, we are professional football club and any points picked up here could be vital in getting us into Europe next year. If Moyes thinks Noble is the best option at any point during the game then fair enough, but we need to approach this in the same way we would any other game, regardless of the occasion.

I can see us winning this ..... and then shipping three against Brighton.I think our players will be really up for it and not just because it's Noble's last home game - win and all we've got to do is better Man U's result against Palace and I reckon they'll struggle to get a result.

They're going to murder us.

We've already beaten Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Sevilla at home this year. No reason why we can't do it again.

Bang up for this. Citeh showed themselves to be bottlejobs against Real Madrid. As long as we can keep it tight I think we can worry them.

Man C have a fair amount of injuries at the back, hopefully Wolves give them a really tough game but Man C win it. We have a weeks rest, all be it unsure of who will be fit at CB for us today, we can get something from this game, I can feel it in my water.

We ideally need at least a draw from this game, as that means Man U will go to Palace feeling a bit of pressure, knowing that a draw for them may not be enough.

I forgot they were playing Wolves midweek. When was the last time we played a game having had a full week's rest whilst the opposition played midweek?

Noble should play and will play in my opinion. Not just in an emotional sense, the big occasion will most likely mean he’s one of the best players on the pitch I reckon.

Very difficult to see us winning. But I think a point is achievable. Then it will probably depend on beating Brighton to get that Europa spot.

I think we’ll win this. The pressure’s all on them, and while their league form is highly impressive, our boys will be motivated to put on a show. My only background concern is that this could help Liverpool, but it’s a win/win, pretty much regardless what happens.

City can afford a loss or a draw with us if they win midweek. They should also be a bit tired after their midweek exploits. Would be great to get a result and it would also give them the opportunity to screw over Man Utd.

Not sure about the "tiredness" thing tbh. Winning teams never seem to appear as tired as the ones who are losing in the games I watch.

Also City could field a 'B team' that would murder a lot of Prem outfits. Depth is something they certainly don't lack.

Fixed.

Surprisingly fancy us here. Week's rest, no Europe, Noble's last home game, still in with a chance of top 6. The pressure is on them more than is it us.

I’d written of the Man City game but now I think we can get something from it. Players will be desperate to get back into the Europa.

We will win.

Man City could be vulnerable to set pieces. Our best chance so Soucek could make a difference.

City’s last 6 games are 25-2 on aggregate in the Prem league. Despite losing to Madrid they also put 5 past them. If we get anything from this lot we should also get a trophy.

Laporte and Fernandinho are both ‘doubtful’ for this Sunday’s game. “Attack, attack, attack!!”

They’ve got problems in defence, so they will set out to keep the ball as much as possible. I imagine they’ll end with 75% possession. I just hope we don’t sit off, show them too much respect, and that we’re able to play our own game at times.

Not really a level playing field when they've spent a billion pounds on their squad and are fielding players on £400k a week. Would love to turn them over on Sunday.

A win would be miraculous but a draw would still be great and means that a point against Palace would not be enough for Man Utd if we beat Brighton.

I usually treat my body like a temple. Last night I treated mine like a whorehouse above a liquor store next to a motherfucking Taco Bell.

NB, to be fair confident but not gobshites in the main.

Let's be honest they could hurt us here.

I was nervous before Newcastle and wolves, tomorrow my gut will be in knots by midday, after I've cut the grass to keep my mind occupied
