Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

View from the Away End

I cannot tell you how excited I am to go to this game tomorrow, a sunny day in Manchester seeing this year’s team in the flesh for the first time. The comments from the away fans are a bit dull, but it’s the best I could find. As always any old three points will do, but personally I would like to see a goal fest for the first home game of season.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: David Coote
Assistants: Nick Hopton, Timothy Wood
Fourth official: Josh Smith
VAR: Peter Bankes
Assistant VAR: Adam Nunn

And the rest…

One Of Our Toughest Games of The Season.

The key is to try and not get hammered. Not many teams will get much against city this season. Can see us getting a point vs arsenal and Liverpool away we seem to have had some close games.

30 degrees Sat afternoon in Manchester.......slower play/water breaks / does that help us?

Only thing we can try and do is break up play as much as possible, defend, defend, defend, try to keep the ball to the sides and try to hit them on the break/maybe get a goal from a corner if we manage to win one. Could hope that one of their players loses their rag and gets a red and try to wind specific players up, but City are not normally easily wound up.

I’m going with intention of seeing us put up a good fight and from there who knows?… it is as you say a ‘free hit’.

Expect City to have sore ankles If Perlo & Jeff play.

Just want to get this out of the way.....more than 5% possession would be nice.
Watching MOTD last night I just could not believe the pace of Haaland. Mind you WHU were a bit **************** unlike us.

Clean sheet for 15 minutes and equal West Ham’s 16% possession!

We will trouble them at set pieces with this team and potentially Senessi. Now all we need to do is get a set piece.

Was surprised how much I enjoyed us practicing the dark arts on Saturday.
Pearlo and Lerma in the middle just to frustrate and knock Citeh off their stride, physically and metaphorically.

Let’s hope for a typical top of the table clash, both teams edgy, respectful of each other, not willing to gamble, a hard fought 1-1 draw…….. well, I can dream can’t I?

Low expectations, go into it with an open mind, commitment from every player, try and keep the score down, I'd be happy with that.

Haarland is so quick and reads where the ball is going but I hope our lads will realise that ....and then he has Travs up for keeping a clean sheet…Fingers crossed.

Can say a lot about a teams character in games like these. I’m looking forward to see how we handle city, ourselves and just how much has Parker ‘tightened’ us up as a unit. Also a great game to have a few pounds on some crazy odds…Up the resurgent cherries!

Was watching that arsenal documentary on prime last night, was reminded how much city players fall to the ground when touched, allowing VAR to give stupidly soft decisions. I fear we will give away a lot of "fouls"!

Top of the league clash.

I usually treat my body like a temple. Last night I treated mine like a whorehouse above a liquor store next to a motherfucking Taco Bell.

Given the pessimistic, defeatist assessment of Messrs Antonio and Moyes after last weeks game, they're probably scared stiff

Cheers, CM. I hope you enjoy the day and the Blue boys put on a show for you.

In the main they are not unreasonable comments from their fans, I think.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

It does feel a bit weird and embarrassing seeing other fans take the “citeh” tag from the Rags.
