I was going to leave this until later, but the comments are all the same so might as well go with it now. It appears The Villans are very concerned about one player and one player only (apart from KDB getting an honourable mention). I wonder if Pep will do anything unexpected, given the chumps league game next week? I get the feeling he is a little bit calmer this season. I love what we have done to these fans after only four games, long may it continue…Three more points please.

COME ON CITY!!!

Assistants: Adrian Holmes, Dan Robathan

And the rest…

No doubt anyone heading to this will have a sack of cabbages in tow. There was a lot of pre match nonsense in the Arsenal thread about how Arsenal could get a record score against us or it would be 5 or 6 nil. Complete rubbish…My prediction, Aston Villa 0-14 Man City. Haaland to score 6 before half time.

Most goals scored by a player in a single premier league match is Alan Shearer with 5 goals in a game against Sheffield Wednesday in 1999. Just thought I'd put that out there because I can see that record being broken on the weekend.

Haaland 10/1 to score another hat-trick against us, with Coral. Sadly it looks like a sure thing at the moment.

Double digits?

I hate these sorts of games where I would snap your hand off for a 0-3 loss. Haaland is going to run riot I just cant see any other result than a humiliating defeat that will be the end of Gerrard.

That'll be the best result we can get.

We're gonna need a lot of energy, be MUCH better on the ball, and need MASSIVE amounts of luck to have a sniff of a chance - I predict 0-4, the longer we can keep it at 0-0 will be key to what kind of hiding we suffer. Depressing.

All I can see, especially if we play like we did in the first half against Arsenal, is an epic level mauling that could leave both small children and adults traumatised.

Our only hope is that Pep rests Haaland and a few others prior to matchday one of the Champions League. By ‘hope’ - I refer to keeping the score below 0-7.

Suppose the only saving grace is that Jack is still out otherwise that would really drive the knife home. Expect nothing, want nothing…Though if the narrow formation is rolled out against City - I really do question what is going on in Gerrard's head at that point. How much pride and stubborness can one man have to keep doing the same thing that's failing over and over again? Then again - if you never practice another way, what's the point anyway.

Cricket score incoming!

Honestly think we’d be better off declaring an illness outbreak hours before the game and just forfeiting it for a 3-0 defeat.

City have a CL game against Seville on Tuesday so once the game is won Pep will likely sub some of his key players. Haaland, de Bruine and so on might only get 45 mins if we are lucky.

Is Haaland allergic to anything? How can we get some it hidden in his boots?

Watch this be the match we win. Nobody is expecting it. 4-0 victory for sure.

Has anyone scored 4 hattricks in 3 games before?

I'm more worried about him scoring 4 hattricks in one game.

This is the worst game of the season. We are going into it in the worst form possible and they are absolutely flying. Newcastle showed a few weeks ago that they aren’t untouchable. Our issue is we don’t have a the pace to cause them any real issues on the break.

I'm seriously scared of this going into double digits. City wants to top Liverpool doing 9 and Villa is tragically there for the taking, big time.

I can see it now, after scoring 7 goals Haaland will be substituted in the 21st minute so he can have a rest for the Champions League.

I think if Gerrard continues with this formation with McGinn and Ramsey in midfield , City will walk through our midfield and we will get battered, could be 5-6 at least, kept Haaland my FPL captain! He needs to change it up, it is not working.

If Konsa is on that team sheet tomorrow I’ll be the one you see crying into my burger outside Smokey Joes by the club shop.

How do coaches plan to stop Haaland? Considering that he scores mainly from finding the gap between defenders, how about 3 centre backs with one man-marking him? Asking for a friend, because Chambers/ Bednareck & Konsa & Mings would eff that up completely.

The only thing I can see in our favour is if Man $ity send over their womens team,we might be able to scrape a draw.

I reckon for those of us attending this game, we should definitely get an extra 20000 reward points on our memberships after we witness Villa lose 80-0

Gerrard confirmed Dendonker has a throat injury so he must be a doubt for tomorrow

Pep vs Gerrard…It's like some sort of abuse.

Reffed us 3 times in total, twice last season and one before that

Thinks he's only given us one yellow iirc, very rarely gives reds and keeps yellows down.

Cheers CM

My favourite was the last one Pep v Slippy being some sort of abuse....

Mate, when i hear who our ref is and don't know him, just google their name and then chose the soccerbase.com link.

You can see season by season, click on games of ours he has reffed and see who he booked and any red cards.

Also gives you a feal overall by season how card happy the ref is.

Made me laugh!
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...
