We'll see some spillage in the matches to come for sure ;)

Defenders:
Joao Cancelo, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Nathan Aké ,
Manuel Akinchi, Sergio Gomez,
CJ Egan-Riley, Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Midfielders:
Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva,
Kalvin Phillips,
Fernandinho , Romeo Lavia, James McAtee.

Forwards:
Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer
Erling Haaaland, Julian Alvarez
Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus

Overall we are short of cover in midfield compared with the last campaign

We're stronger in defence and stronger in attack.
Phillips is a far better cover than Fern was last season.
Lavia had no league action and McAtee had a few minutes so I wouldn't worry about the midfield too much.

I do like the 'half-full' approach ;)

Squad is stronger but what about the staff that coach them?
Lillo is gone and our defense is beginning to have a pre-Lillo look about it.
Our mid-fielders are playing like forwards, not midfielders. Gundo and Kev are playing on Haaland's shoulder, Bern is on the wing, resulting in a 'we will score more than you approach'.
Very pre-Lillo.

Clearly that we are weak on the staff coaching department. Maresca came back after being shit at Parma while Borell looks like a yes man type of character. I think we replaced Arteta after one year, right?
