VAR videos showing discussions

Postby PaulieIrish » Mon May 15, 2023 10:32 pm

So Webb comes out and shows some of the VAR videos and discussions leading to the decisions made. Actually quite interesting tbh. Good thing going forward if they are gonna show this.

But where's the one on Rashford's goal against us? Even Neville asked him about Rashford's one.

Can't show this in real time, as FIFA have apparently blocked it. But a real step forward if they release this after the game...

How can FIFA not allow it to be shown in realtime? We all know the answer to that question - transparency or lack thereoff. Agree that the audio has to be shared but it needs to be at the time of discussion, and broadcast to the crowd - no hiding place, manual intervention or any other dark-art that is currently being performed

Or, instead of a TV programme where they discuss the ones they want to discuss, they should make all the content available online for all to review at their leisure.

Only releasing the ones that are safe to where there’s no controversy attached. Got it.

It’s pathetic isn’t it !!
I’ve left a message on talk sport slagging that owe for off for only showing a positive outcome .

They just think the majority of the public are fucking dumb !
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

The releasing of the audio on MNF for that one incident was a calculated one off. It was designed to show how brilliant the VAR system is and how they get decisions correct. And a large portion of fans will say its a step in the right direction. Which it is to a certain degree. If it was allowed to accelerate and by that I mean have them miked up during games so they are heard real time like in most sports who use a form of VAR

But it won't be. This was a snippet fed to us to appease us. It won't be the start of transparency. Pigmol have too much to lose.

The very fact they focused on the one incident and brushed aside any questions of the more controversial decisions and indeed ones Pigmol have already admitted they got "wrong", tells you where in reality they are at.

Still at the trough. Still being corrupt. Still being incompetent. Still favouring the PL chosen teams
