FA Cup Final 2024 Build Up

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

FA Cup Final 2024 Build Up

Postby john@staustell » Tue May 21, 2024 5:16 pm

Woke up 5 am Monday morning, resolving never to drink again.

Now, having freed myself of such ludicrous notions, it's time to get ready for some more vino.

This time it's at the unusual time of 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon.

And against those we once called the Evil Empire, but are now more like the state of things at the beginning of the original Mad Max, with everything falling apart

No room for complacency here - grind them into the dust

Then stamp on them

Come on City

Went to the game Sunday started off in the townley at 1pm, went over yo the stadium had a few to calm the nerves, celebrated into the late evening in MCR, ended up in Munroe's for a couple and got bus home.
Very fragile Monday am, but in work the gloating begun.
This Saturday will hopefully be another long day at Wembley, green man sounds like the pub to get in, hopefully with us annihilating The fuckers.
Come on you blueboys

Went to the Green Man last season Semi final, was very quiet compared to previous visits but that was the game loads boycotted. Bar man tried charging me £1300 for 2 lagers  thank God contactless limit is £100

Skint this year so will be down my local surrounded by plastic rags that have never been to the swamp, looking forward to breaking another record by exceeding the Watford score line which we share with Bury (1903).

Pep is getting right into making history lately, so he’ll want this back to back double as much as we do. Bring it on.
Tracking back is overrated.

Looking forward to the build up - a couple of hours on Klopps time at Dippers before a brief look at the match

I used to visit an old friend in a village called Moelfre just outside Oswestry he had a house right by Moelfre Lake (Llyn Moelfre). Beautiful countryside.

I fucking hate these twats. All the watch them on the telly brigade around here have been conspicuous by their absence recently. I will be out looking for them again on sunday. Going 0600 and heading for potters bar before the game. Never been there before so should be a laugh

That's the only trouble with living around these parts, too near to dipperland.

He was arguably our Man of the Match in the Champions League final. Very frustrating. He’s been on the bench for several games and not played a minute. Same thing in the Cup Final one assumes. No doubt he’ll be fit for England straightaway. Akanji’s a decent defender but not a patch on Stones moving into midfield. He can pass the ball decently but isn’t good under pressure in possession.

How did you manage to switch onto Stones there mate from Potters Bar and Klopp?

Don't forget PEP likes to surprise us, so no one can guess the team! Though he's been a bit slack with that lately :D

I think it is simply that Akanji can cover left back better than Dias, who shades it ahead of Stones on organising/ leadership skills.

All this talk about tent peg getting sacked, others meantioned , a little disturbing. Either the players want to make sure he's gone with a drubbing or they are doing an Atalanta on us .expecting City to be too casual on Saturday.
