Scored the equaliser against Palace away this season. Just an example.

Maybe he’s 20 and part of the shittest team we’ve had in be last 6 years. Probably should judge him when the team is playing well.

I meant the defense as a whole, he’s played more this season and we’ve been at our worst. If we want to win the league he can’t play every week in my opinion.

Maybe it’s harsh, but that’s football.

If we want to win the league Rico is the least of our worries. Sort the midfield out, get some wingers that actually contribute with an end product and get defenders that aren’t always injured - then we’ll be fine.

I agree. Do that and he’ll be fine to contribute as a squad player and happy days.

All our troubles are down to Lewis not the manager that constantly tinkers with the back line or the fact our midfield has been shit.
Wasn't Lewis on form before Pep decided to bring out of form Walker back into the fold to keep him happy?

Whether Lewis makes it or not is another story, the kid hasn't had protection from midfield and unsettled defence.

I'm more inclined to blame the experienced senior players, they should be responsible as much as Pep to guide and protect the kids.

as pep pointed out very early on, rico's only real weakness is his stature. a very talented footballer but probabaly 2 or 3 inches too short to be a top level player in his position(s). his versatility and the fact that he's home grown mean that i'd keep him as i'm sure he's brilliant in training and can come on and do a job in multiple positions.

Usually great wings backs were short back in the day. Quick also. For me that is far important than his stature for a right back. He doesn't look fast enough.
But I would keep him without any doubt.

No opinion? Or keep him without doubt? :D
