Hard to disagree, he probably gets paid more than than the average person does in a year per week, literally for playing on the training pitch and might if lucky make the bench 3 games a season.
Looks like he chose to retire at 29 when he moved to Chelsea a couple of years ago - rather than being critical though, you gotta say that for those who see football as a job, and its about getting paid rather than playing for the love of the game, more power to his elbow.
