I, to be honest, wanted two new keepers.

I thought we'd be in for 2 keepers as well. Happy with Ed for time being no-one better with their feet for our system. Need to stop with the gk rotation Ortega gets LC and fa cup that's it unless we have injuries. Can see us replacing both next summer on the basis that Ortega stays this window which is not guaranteed

Not happy, should have got Trafford, Ed seems less reliable & Ortega is a fuck up waiting to happen.

Trafford would be ok as a number 2. He's not a patch on even a less reliable Ed. Trafford was shit when Burnley were last in the PL.

Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford has kept 30 clean sheets in the league this season. This is a record-equaling number for the Championship, matching Port Vale's 1953-54 season record. In total, he played 44 league games,

Trafford is 22, thats quite young for a keeper. Not too many keepers even near their best at 22.

He did not have the team around him to play out from the back and was continually exposed last time in the PL. He would not have come back to us as a no.2 imo. Think we will go big next time on Eds replacement

There problem there is no one to go big after.
The natural ones seem Diego Costa and Unai SImon, but the rest, I can't think of one really top class.

Not unhappy with that. Never rated Ortega, he's had one good game for us but cost us in the FA Cup final against the rags

I don't think winning the toss and kicking into the sun helped. So many bad calls that day and another chance given up to add to our collection. Ortega was done for me after this. I will be surprised if he is with us this season

Surely Emerson’s days are numbered after the latest non saving display in the W.C. Game, awful.

Denzil Dumfries has a 25 mil release clause. An animal of a player. I'd have him

Absolutely if that's true about the release clause. A steal at that price.

Won’t be happy until we can get a goalkeeper who is good at preventing goals

They don't exist. Eddy is a fine keeper. What is piss poor is the high line Pep insists on and the lack of defensive coaching. Its something Pep thinks isnt necessary which is true if we have the ball, byt plenty of teams have learnt to soak up the pressure and hit us on the break
