When was the last time our genius £25,000 000 a year manager had a positive impact on any game with his substitutions ?

We already know what the shit one dimensional 45 minute 1st half game plan will be every game.Pass.pass,pass,pass,pass,pass,pass,pass. Bore the shit out of everyone with his slow insipid coma inducing football. Why he hates players with flair and gets frustrated with players like Cherki. He prefers magnolia type Players, Robots he can easily control.

Not only do we have a very unfit Squad with our now customary second half non performances the normal these days. Doesn't help i suppose when we nave players like Haaland off to Disney World in France to film YouTube Videos days before one of the most important games of Our Season. Life on easy Street at City. Everything about the Club stinks of complacency and unprofessionalism. Don't even get me started on the set piece Coach.

Anyway back to Pep and my question. I can go back 2 Seasons over games where his in game management and substitutions invariably always cause complete capitulation. Rather than have any positive impact on the game. Fans are already trying to second guess his starting line up to begin with, why does he pick players ahead of players performing well. He sees them in training i get that.

Last night for example we are playing a side embroiled in a relegation battle. Their only threat would come from Counter attacks. It wasn't Rocket science to pick a City side last night to negate that threat. Low and behold our genius manager decides to play a woefully out of form Foden in a potential League decider instead of Nico G. Not having learned that Foden and Cherki cancel each other out in the same side. Even worse he drops the Speedy Khusanov another player who could have dealt with a fast counter better than Dias who has been shit for 2 years.

For 45 minutes Forest game plan was simply to contain and nullify any threat. Knowing full well second half will be their chance. Reason being we are too unfit to perform for 90 minutes +.

Half time the dreadful Foden should have been substituted. Not a chance of that ever happening, that would be the Ego admitting he got it wrong AGAIN. All of us watching see the writing on the wall as we have many times before these last 2 seasons. and the game swinging in to Forest favour. He just sits there like has dozens of times before not having a scooby Doo how to compete against a high press. Disturbingly his first act was to send geriatric Ake out to warm up. Thank fuck someone on the Bench had a moment of clarity to correct this. All his Subs were wrong Sam Allardyce and Tony Pullis would be doing much better with this squad. A game we need to win he actually Subs Cherki our only player capable of a moment of genius. Brings on his love Child Savio the worst player i have ever seen in a City shirt. The clearly physically fucked Youtuber Haaland from his journey and exploits in Paris gets to walk around for 97 minutes. No marmoush. Dreadful Foden saw 75 minutes.

It is almost like Pep parting gift is to make sure his mate Arteta gets a Title.

No World class manager should be getting it as wrong as Pep is these days. He can not even be trusted to make the right Subs in games we are leading by 3,4, goals his substitutions with his boring insipid football have killed any chance of us winning a Title.

He should be making the "Sum bigger than its parts". The extra man with a supposed genius mind.

Absolutely spot on, the sooner this narcissistic megalomaniac gets out of our club the better. The team selection. The inept tactics, the atrocious use of substitutes, the embarrassing public speaking are playing into the hands of the anti City brigade. Everyone knows my view by now.
The Pep defenders will be out justifying his fucking shitty tactics, bizarre line-ups, and the mind numbing substitutions he keeps making week in, week out.
Drawing at home to Forest in a game we absolutely had to win… Aside from Bernardo and perhaps one or two others who consistently graft, his recent signings have been complete and utter shite.

Nico G is one of the weirder things for me.
He was immense when Rodders was out. If he is fit, his constant absence is a mystery.

I an't remember the match details but in general his substitutions have only ever worked when he has started his B team in say a cuo game or when he is try to rest his stars. I think the main player in this regard was Kevin De Bruyne. He often was brought on to dig us out of the shit. Psp is a big fan of resting players beforehand. My view has always been to rest main players once the match looks won but always start with your strongest team. If he wants to use his squad, do it sparingly and bring in just one squad play to start a game. Little and often to to his squad bloodied.
Can't argue with anything in the lead post. Sums up my feelings. Certainly need to work on our defence, how to close down a game, but also fitness. I also think it better to have a shot or get a cross into the box asap. Create more half chances and make defences work . Passing sideways across a defence is ultimately easier for them to drift defend and the slow passing helps them recover energy. Commentators used to say it is hard for teams to defend against us. May have been true a few seasons ago but they say it much less now, because we have slowed our passing down completely. We have become pedestrian. The Haaland injury/ Disneyland junket annoys me intensely. He needs fucking for that. Can you picture any manager of a few years ago putting up with that? Bring back Mancini
