They are one of the units used to measure time. 60 in an hour. Minimum 45 in a half of football. If a player gets minutes on the pitch, it means he spent some time playing in the game.

Every day is a school day. I heard there are 365 days in a year (and a quarter)
What I meant was, but you failed to see through the smoke you blow up Pep’s arse, was if a player has say 10 minutes & another player has 25 WTAF difference does it make. Hope you understand this being there are words of more than one syllable.

I noticed Haaland didn’t get any “minutes” in Norways 2-1 defeat against Netherlands Reindeer scored the winner for Netherlands.

I think you're confusing me with someone else, but to answer your question as best I can, I imagine when you are trying to gel together a team of people who are not used to playing together or not used to a certain system the difference between 10 and 25 minutes is possibly significant. One is a quarter of a match, the other is an awful lot less.

Bit of a misunderstanding here, I was looking at
this issue from a City viewpoint, I cannot express how little I give a fuck about who gets "minutes" for international teams be it England or any other country.

Surprise that FIFA allowed that to happen. They usually want all the big teams at the tournament, for the TV money.

Well there are 48 teams going to this tournament in the summer and Italy could not qualify directly, never mind play offs. Is it so bad in Italy these days that they cannot put a decent team out?

Had to correct myself, even worse ! 48 teams

The rate at which US is going, only Iran will have the fuel to fly there. Wouldn't be surprised to see it cancelled. If it was i wouldn't give a shit. The WC has been crap for a couple of decades

Once a country denigrates its own national pride constantly and incessantly then it's no surprise that the emptiness of watching it would follow, I am sure normal countries love it like we don't.

I think I know what you are alluding to & totally understand & agree. In plain language I don’t give a Frenchman’s fuck about the WC, the initials of which are most appropriate.
