I always hoped that they saw through the bullshit of the FFP which is a farce in itself, only protecting the most profitable whilst stopping true benefactors coming in to disrupt the status quo. I understand why we spent to try to get through the gate before it closed. I do care about the judgement but I care more about supporting my team for over 40 years, good and bad, mostly bad! Don't let anyone tell you that we've spent more to buy success when its been proven year on year or season to season that others have spent money when we haven't. I'm going to wait till the final verdict comes out but I can tell you now, the football doesn't change, spend all you want and you can get a shit team, Chelsea did the same, twice. We won those games through being better. We had to spend more at one time to get through the gate. When you're at the top its easier. I love my club if the worst happens we'll have seen it before and we'll be there again.

Amen, brother. City, and us fans, were here long before this successful era, and will still be here whatever the final outcome.
Hopefully, other ambitious clubs (Villa, Newcastle, etc) will wake up to what the real purpose of FFP, in all its guises, is and vote to get rid of it. As a business, football needs outside investment so, as long as clubs are not loaded with spending debt, owners should be allowed to use their OWN money to progress their businesses.

It all can not be taken seriously. If City had cooked any books. HMRC would be all over it. Accounting firms are indirectly being accused, sponsors accused.

Absolute nonesense and an appeal , or even a case against the PL in a normal Court of Justice would soon shut it all up.

Exactly. A lot of what people are saying online are well into criminal levels of fraud. And if they were true you wouldn't only be seeing a sports arbitration panel looking into it. Stinks of what most City fans probably expected but hoped against, that the "independent commission" was a complete farce - a way for the old top 5 to do against City what they couldn't do on the pitch - win.

The other option going on here is that some other PL clubs are leaking the verdict early to the media and playing it up to be way worse than it is with the hopes of turning public opinion so much against City that it forces the punishments to be much harsher than they should.

The only thing Manchester City are guilty of is trying to compete with the Cartel . 2008 Sheik Mansour does a deal to be the owner of Manchester City FC
2008 a new rule is introduced . FFP Financial Fair play . The timing to me speaks volumes, do I need to say anymore?

I couldn't give a flying fuck to all this bent FFP shit.
IF/WHEN this preposterous ruling will become official, I don't expect anything more than a flawed punishment, just to save League and buddies face, AND give the media grounds to stir the turd endlessly.

Once said that, the Club is bigger than any shit, its greatness doesn't come from trophies but from the relentless passion and support its fanbase have granted all throughout one century and a half, come rain or shine.

Have always looked at this in a simple way, perhaps I'm just a simple Yorkshire man.

So, you buy an independent clothes shop on the High street, there are many other shops selling clothes. Some are small independents like you but theres some bigger names, Next etc. The shops have to abide by rules set by these BID set ups, all the shops sit on the board but the big players aren't bothered by the smaller independents as they cannot be competative or a threat

You've won the lottery snd decide to spend and invest big on your shop to try compete with the bigger outlets. The Big boys don't like this so they put pressure on the board and other outlets to change the trading rules and place restrictions on investment to ensure don't become a threat to them. You have to find some ways around this with a good accountant, you do some clever accounting and start competing with them.

Another independent opens up and they are wanting to invest the same, so they change the rules again to try ensure he cannot do what you have. They then decide to go after you to aet an example. Meanwhile Next as been bought by some greedy American investment firm and stop investing and just take out any profit to line their own dirty pockets, their roofs fucking leaking and they need to sue you to get that sorted. They do everything in their power to make you look the evil bad boy thats ruining the High Street. You just go about your business investing and trying to compete meanwhile some cunts just forged some emails to make out that you've broken the law. The shoppers start to think your the evil force and .......

Well you know where I'm going. This is going to end up not about finance but competion law and eventually will be settled but its going to drag out for a few nore years. City need to release some form of statement now. Not to appease the rule makers and rule changers but for the sake ofnus fans who are now going to get more shit than ever. The reputation of some powerful people is on the line.

Only good that might come from this is that band wagon jumpers who have fucked us loyal fans off might jist fuck off.

Woke up feeling pissed at Khaldoon. If he’s lied all this time, if we have cheated and he knew it, that’ll be hard to swallow. I love that guy.

Then I think what fucking quantifiable advantage did we get? Was it the signings of Mangala, Nolito, Maicon, Javi Garcia, Jovetic or Rodwell or Scott Sinclair that made such a significant positive difference to our performance? We’re have rarely been leading net spenders in transfers and we’ve bought plenty of doozies in that time. So what advantage did we gain because I could argue we were possibly disadvantaged by signing a few extra players. As for Mancini being paid a bit more to do a job in Saudi what fucking difference does that make to the clubs performance?

Yes John , but they are only rules and can be changed any which way you choose. These charges are implying fraudulent behavior. This means the government must get involved. Which so far , they have not. Wait until Sponsors and firms like Peat Marwick Mitchell get involved by having their names slandered .

You can introduce a rule that Covid charges can only be upto a max of 1 million and let the Rags have a special 40 million deal.

Moreover, let's not forget such rules go against the whole history of Trade Law, all around the whole Western Countries.
No matter how big and influential a company/conglomerate has become, they always have been dismantled or forced to sell a sizable part of themselves. Cartels had always been fought as the biggest evil in trade.
And here comes what I always thought ADUG should have done: file an application, to either UK and International Courts, to have FFP and the likes voided. Not directly as MCFC or ADUG, but by pushing an independent association or entity to do that.

I've noticed this too, and honestly, yesterday made one thing painfully obvious: people really do hate us.

After years and years of being fed the “cheaters” narrative, they were always going to jump on this the second they got the chance. And I can understand rival fans doing it, that's football. They can't beat us on the pitch but this is the second thing.
What I genuinely cannot understand are the so-called “neutrals” who seem to have been waiting for this moment just as eagerly as anyone else.

I mean, seriously, I refuse to believe that a Villa, Newcastle or Leeds fan has this level of emotional investment in Manchester City unless they've already bought into the narrative years ago. What's even more frustrating is that yesterday wasn't enough for people to wait for the full process to play out. The verdict is obviously serious, and City will appeal, but somehow the entire thing immediately became “everything City ever achieved was fake” and “they cheated their way to everything.” That's not analysis, that's years of resentment finally getting an excuse to come out, imho,

Honestly, I just can't be bothered anymore. Avoid social, fellas. There is, as Notts said, a full on bukkake.
