Great to see the club recognising a man who has served City so well over the years.
I have only met him a few times but he comes across as a great bloke who is City through and through and would do anything he can to help the fans.

As the article says he's so well respected throughout the game and this is fully deserved. 50 years in the game, hell of an achievement

Very timely and absoluetly deserved IMO. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Bernard but I'm sure that he would enjoy a couple o Holts gary glitter to chew the cud.
Well done City. Besides all the administrative messes we've endured over the years, this is yet another of the right & proper things that we've done since the Sheiky fellas takeover. More please City:o)

If he was a Rag he'd be MBE or OBE today.
Well in Bernard, CTYD.

Absolute cracking bloke. Bernie invited us to a gentlemen's charity evening earlier this year with a view to representing the club and the fans. Unfortunately we had to decline due to an unwelcome speaker..............................Wayne Rooney!
Great bloke who just can't do enough for the lads on the ground, the man should be Knighted!

Spot on Beefy. He is a top bloke.
First time I ever spoke to him he asked for a swig of my beer outside Swindon's ground, he was joking of course. Last time was at my son's football presentation and he made a real effort for all the photo's.
lets wish for good days but not forget the bad days

Sure it wasn´t his grand daughter mate? Couldn´t believe it a few months ago when I realised he was still at the club. Must be about 110 years old.

Top to see this.
Bernard was ace with me when I did my works experience at City. What was mad was that I didn't know that I was friends with his grandsons at school. Proper took me under his wing in what was a daunting experience.
