its gonna be a long wait til wednesday god knows whats gonna happen, just watched spurs on motd and they looked absolutely brilliant. gareth bale is actually world class right now, if zabba plays like he did yesterday we have a good chance of dealing with him, but if richards plays bale has a free corridor to our penalty area all night long. huddlestone's goal was unbelievable, and generally we're pretty shit against tottenham i would play exactly the same team that beat villa, bringing SWP on for the last 15 mins whatever the score. generally we're quite good against harry redknapp teams though aren't we???? i'm nervous and excited its so good to be at this point of the season and have something to play for, a real testament to how far we've come. COME ON CITY BEAT SPURS!!!!

I'm feeling the 7 or 8 draws in the middle of the season were a wasted opportunity. We should have had this 4th spot, or even 3rd, sewn up a long time ago.

Very nervous. Spurs always seem to fuck us over when it matters.

the truth

There have been times in the last few weeks where I have longed for mid table obscurity - I will never get used to the heartbreak city can deal out but I remember the occasional dickov type miracles - and those moments repay everything with interest

Its all down to who wants it most now - and lady luck - and alcohol

I can't shake the feeling that we'll beat Spurs by the odd goal and then draw 0-0 with West Ham whilst Spurs bounce 10 past Burnley and so steal the spot on GD. It would be classic typical City and my brain is so used to working that way that it is very difficult to get away from it. Another week of torture!

The players shouldn't need any motivation though and having to win is a huge advantage for us as we play so much better when we attack so COME ON LADS and lets get rid of typical city forever

Trying not to think about it.
I just have that "typical city" feeling that we'll bet Spuds and stumble to West Ham. I suppose we'll know week today, come on City!!!

I am not at all confident about wednesday..... not one bit! But then again I wasn't confident about us beating villa! This is the teams last home game of the season, they need to go all out to make sure it's an enjoyable one! I just really hope my negative feeling is wrong and we can get 3 points on wednesday! A draw wouldn't be the end of the world, but it would mean 4th being completely out of our hands!!!

I was convinced that we were gonna lose. Makes me really messed up. Now I'm convinced that we gonna lose on Wednesday as well, since that seemed to work.

A good few years ago city had two important games
one against spurs and one away game whilst our nearest rivals last game was against sunderland Result
CITY WERE CHAMPIONS
dont worry Ive got every faith in the team especially at home

Anybody but Spuds and i'd be confident but has been pointed out they have this nasty habit of beating us when it really matters (81 cup final, ninety whatever cup tie with the horse, svens season unbeaten at home til the league cup qf). We also seem to save our shittest performances for this lot. (Dunnes abysmal defending against Bent, Distains cock up against Lennon, this season at WHL). They are also in the position where a point is good enough for them.

If we are at our best we'll win. There's this myth that Spuds are in great form. Not true. Sunderland should have put 6 past them. Pompey knocked em out of the cup, Arsenal played em off the park but somehow managed to lose. Ok they were good against Chelski but didn't look bad at times against the rags but by all accounts Notlob should have snatched a point according to local radio reports.

Play how we did yesterday and its payback time. Come on lads, we once beat them from 3-0 down with 10 men. Wednesday should be a doddle. Put em to the sword and we don't even have to win at WHU on the last day.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Pissed off that ive got so much work on and that its looking like im going to have to sacrifice wednesday and make an all day and nighter out of it because im going with my mate. Also, very lucky and grateful that I managed to get a ticket.

Wish I could fully enjoy it by being able to get well and truly pissed up though! Both before and after.
