Frankly, I'm astonished about the majority attitude of these proposals. It's like most people don't give a shit because it doesn't affect them. The general feeling seems to be "You've got decent seats, what did you expect?" or "The club needs your seat to move forward."
Well I didn't expect to get relocated and pidgeonholed by the club into their 'type of fan so sit there' strategy and I know damn well that the club does not need my seat to move forward. If the clubs earnings of the future are to be a major factor in the amount they can spend, then an extra £500 from me will not make a dent. It will cover the amout Tevez earns when he's driving to work.

We've taken the piss out of the Scum for years about their corporates and how they couldn't give a fuck about the fans at the swamp. Now when City start to follow suit, people are nodding sagely and suggesting it's the only way.

The only way City can make an impact on the type or earnings that Barca, Real Madric and the Scum earn is through TV rights and global merchandise markets. What good will it do the club if half of the 2nd tier is empty on TV, so they can eek a few extra quid out of the regular punters who sat there?

I sit in East and every game I look at those big, wide, empty leather seats that occupy three blocks directly opposite. I always feel a little disheartened when I see that they've not managed to fill those blocks up and I think about all the people who'd give both their balls to be sitting there. I don't know about the corporate section of East, which is to my right. I can't see how full that area gets.....maybe someone in CB could enlighten me.

Obviously, I'm biased. This is hitting me directly in the pocket and having a major detramental affect on my matchday experience. I know the questions in the survey were loaded. It's a bit like when the company needs to save money and asks the workforce for suggestions. One of the staff begrudgingly suggests that it'll mean there will be staff cuts. Then the board then say "Good idea. Who's first?".......well in this case it's Me, Lytham and everyone sits on Tier 2.

.........and Beefy, I do understand what you've been saying and appreciate your posts and the other view, but when you get affected directly by these measures, you may struggle to understand them too.

EDIT: ....and thanks for all the well wishes above regarding my milestone post. It didn't go unnoticed chaps.
Has the world gone mad, ..............or is it me?

Thanks for the reply LB and let's just say we'll have to disagree on this. It is understandable that people will be aggrieved with the upheaval that this has caused and it will take a while to come to terms with it on, but like I said, I believe it is good for our future. The one thing I will say is that it won't be the United way, or model, because has you said, we don't need the money.

AD, good post mate.
