The hatred for Redknapp on this site has always made me chuckle, I've nothing against him. Had he been in charge of us last season we'd have walked 4th and possibly done a lot better.

imagine if mancini had started sayin "spurs are looking to buy a. n. other" the media would be all over it - in fact, wasn't there a shitstorm over mancio supposedly recommending hangeland or someone to juve? along the lines of "who the fuck is he to be saying that".

In fairness, our financial trouble arose quite a few years after H left West Ham. He sold Rio and spent the proceeds on some of the worst transfers in our history, but our financial troubles stem from our last owner but one going bankrupt in the old banking crisis.

Harry is just talking the same bollards that the press never pulls him up over.

Got to agree with CityGer that I don't mind Redknapp. He seems to do well everywhere he goes.

Also with regards finances, maybe he just sees what's coming and gets out at the right time. Men higher up at these clubs are the ones who should be balancing the books.
