Apologies if this has been discussed earlier. Just seen SSN and am not happy.

IMO there does not seem to be that much the FA are doing much about reviewing why things went wrong in 2010. We need to remember that we won the World Cup in 1966 - 44 long, long years.

What is the point of having the financial muscle of the Premier League if at the top we are unable to produce players and a team who can compete and play attractive football at the top level? We also have massive problems at grass roots level too!

IMO we as fans deserve an answer from the the FA as to why the national team failed and what is going to be done to improve matters short/medium and long term.

I understand your frustration mate, but fail to see what an 'Official FA Investigation' would do.

I don't hold much hope for our FA and imagine an investigation would be costly,ineffective and potentially damaging if they start to act upon their findings. They'll come out with buzzwords like 'improvements at grass roots level', 'reviews of coaching methods' and 'community programs to improve technique' etc without actually doing anything.

As long as their trade remains so lucrative, I doubt anything worthwhile will be done.

Agreed, they're a worthless pile of shite.

They'll probably reach the conclusion that there aren't enough Champions League games, the FA Cup should be restricted to Arsenal, Utd, Chavski and Liverpool U9's teams and that there aren't enough games played at 4.30 on a Wednesday morning.

Either that or they'll just blame foreigners, City and decide that a 2 week winter break which would make the season last longer/cause more fixture congestion is the answer to players being tired.

Well, the way its going, the players won't be using tiredness as an excuse the next time, because they wont fucking qualify. And then what? they have to do something NOW, can't they see its a problem with a development of the game? its a deep problem, years to rectify, should have done it years ago. FFS farting around over Burton all this time when the olympics get the green light and go at least 50% over budget. It would be good to hear the Chairman (if we have one) of the FA come out and say what in the FA's opinion went wrong given we qualified so well. Whilst this would be interesting the key piece of information I am looking for is what is their plan for the future.

We have a major championship every 2 years. I think we can write of the 2012 European Championships, in terms of winning, we will find it difficult to qualify. Sky made me laugh when they showed the betting to win it - England were 4th favourites!

A few thoughts on what I would like to see, but I am no expert, then again England last won a major trophy in 1966:
Training centre needs to get the green light.
We need to look at a winter break - not to be used as an opportunity to go abroad and play money making friendlies.
Adjust the 'League Cup' format so the final is played before January.
I would also like to see players that are comfortable with the ball, can keep possession and pass it
