When did we rename our reserves the 'Elite Squad'?

The "Elite Squad." The Elite Squad! No offense to member's sexual orientation,
but that is the gayest shit I have ever heard.

Are the reserves supposed to bring about the fear and dread of say, "the Elite Republican Guard?"
And how about, "The Elite Manchester Blues of GPS Sports Monitor Systems."
