Right, when we signed this feller few years back he was hailed as one of the best leftsided talents in the world. He was part of the squad for USA tour and whenever I've read reserves/Youth Team reports this guy gets a mention. So, for those who has got to see him, how far away from the first team fo you think he is.
Then there's another question regarding his transfer. Rennes threatened to sue us over it the same way Chelsea was sued. Did anything ever come out of that?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think they had a domestic case re his ownership which they needed to win in order to 'do' City & they may have lost that one.
All I've seen of him is bits of training footage & snippets of games. Looks big, athletic with decent touch. That's always a good starting point.

Don't expect to see Hlean in the first team frame this season. My gut feeling is he won't make it but thats based on very limited viewings of him.

i saw him play a bit in the Dallas Cup about a year and a half ago. He was on the left wing.
He reminded me of SWP in Kiki Musampa's body.
Maybe not as filled out as Musampa yet, but definitely tricky like SWP with a bit of pace to him.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

I remember Ishmael Miller did a bundling run down the left wing once, I think it was against Fulham. Everyone on here went mental with excitement. Miller was the next big thing.

It was against west ham, only remember this because I watched the clip the other week when I went on one of my trips down memory lane trying to see where it all went wrong for samaras here (he scored a peach of a volley after than run)

Is that Corradi standing in an offside position at the back post as well?

You've got to say, with hindsight, Miller making that run followed by Samaras with that finish; West Ham were seriously fucking unlucky for those two completely unnatural events to happen at the same time.

I thought it was Olaf Mellberg who did the back walk.
That was definately the season before the West Ham goal took place.
Back to Miller though its cringeworthy how excited people were about Ishmael Miller following that run!

It was wasn't it? Remember pointing out that Miller always seems to run with head down and therefore ends up running blind alleys constantly. I thought he always run out of touchline with the ball! I got MASSIVE amounts of shit for only suggesting that.
Miller was big and fast but lacked many very basic football skills and there was snowballs chance in hell he'd ever make it in top. Pearce liked him though. Because he was big and fast... And very cute.
Oh and the fact that THAT run ended up in completely misplaced shot (to my recollection) should've been a warning sign alone.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
