Wealthy Idiots

Postby Burt » Tue Aug 31, 2010 8:42 pm

I was pottering about in the kitchen, making myself some tucka and had Radio 5 on.

One guy online was the fella that has brokered the selling of footie clubs. Keith something or other. He did City, Villa and also is involved with buying the devilworshippers. He was asked about the Red Knights as one of the potential buyers and said "I care about the club and was born and bred in Manchester in a place called Stockport". I've had rags bitching for years that City fans aint Mancs cos they come from places like Stockport and Cheshire. Gunna ram it down the throats of those fuclers tomorrow at work:o)

The next laugh was Wiggun's owner Dave Whelan ( yes we know he's a cunt) say that it was fantastic that Francis Lee sorted our move to Eastlands. What a stupid old fucler!

tbf keith harris also basically stated that the reason the green and gold campaign failed was because the majority of rags wearing the scarves were too clueless not to buy stuff from the club, and also that the majority of SC holders there (actually contacted by the rag knights) preferred to keep going to games rather than boycott the glazers.

as usual this sailed over the host's head.

Huh, then why do rags keep telling me what a success it has been?

Factually Burt, Whelan is correct about Frannie lee and Eastlands. It was during his reign that the Manchester City Council were considering a stadium (originally for the Olympic Games) and several options were on the table.
The options included a temporary stadium to be demolished after any games and a permanent stadium that would largely be a white elephant unless a permanent residient could be found. Frannie jumped at the chance of a new ground for City and it was he who started the ball rolling.
By the time Bernstein took over, we were already a long way down the track with the Council on this.

Your are also factually correct in your assesment of Whelan too...:-)

your answer lies within your question mate.

wish i could hear harris again actually, he really laid into the idiots who wear the scarves and buy crap from their megastore. his point about the sc holders not being willing to give up their seats hit the bullseye too. he reckons the rag knights canvassed members of must, and the vast majority, despite their professed concern for the future of the club, were too worried in the end with losing their seats to press on with the campaign.

FAIL.
