Good to see them flying high in the Conference.

I would love to see them promoted to the league and playing Milton Keynes in a few years!

Nah ... they took over Kingstonian's ground after sharing with them for a bit, all but fecked the K's up good and proper. They, along with FCUM are the whores of the lower leagues

I don't know anything about the situation with Kingston, where do they play now then?

As for Wimbledon, I think it was disgusting that they were thrown out of the league and Milton Keynes were just allowed to take thier place. For Milton Keynes to call themselves the 'Dons' just makes it even worse!

Ridiculous. Then to employ Paul (people don't rate me because I'm black) Ince as manager was the final straw.

They play at the same ground but are now the tennants ... its their boards own fault for falling for the pot of gold that ran out after 18 months.

Yeah fully agree about MK just taking their place thou, wrong on so many levels

Isn't that what most supporters say about city these days when we pry aware their stars? Surely thats all to do with Kingstonian selling their home then and not AFC?

AFC Wimbledon did once have ambitions to return to Plough Lane

You've glossed over what truly happened. Wimbledon lost Plough Lane, shared at Selhurst Park for many seasons and were unable to move back to the Merton Borough which they'd always wanted to do. The Club were heavily in debt and near liquidation until Milton Keynes based businessmen gave them the Hockey Stadium in Milton Keynes as a home and, as part of the agreement for giving them a new Stadium, changed the name from Wimbledon to MK Dons. The original Wimbledon Fans refused to go along with it and formed their own Club from scratch. MK Dons handed over the Wimbledon history to the new Club as a gesture of good will.

I still felt as disgusted as the next person that this was allowed to happen but AFC Wimbledon would have formed regardless either through the liquidation of Wimbledon or the unfortunate mutation to MK Dons.

Couldnt give a fuck about either version of the wombles. All Im interested in remembering is a 1995 Chrimbo fixture in the snow that we lost. I dislike Coventry and Dion Dublin too because of a 1996 cup match. I dislike all teams that arent City with the exception of Runcorn Bohemians and Hibs.
