Parking at COMS.

Since the stadium opened I've always parked in the North Car Park. We usually bought one of those season passes that was near to £100 but the last few years we've started to just pay on the day for a fiver. Set off from Bury at 6.15pm when we played Liverpool and missed 10 minutes of the first half because of the traffic around the stadium!! Tried to get in the North Car Park where they had signs for £10 a car (WTF!!!!) but got told that I needed a pass. When I pointed out the sign to the guy he just shrugged. So ended up having to park miles away on some shithole street and had to leg it to the ground and leave 10 mins early Because I was worried about the car being left in such a shite area.

Anyway enough of my life story. Where do you guys park and how much is it?
I've seen the car park next to the Vermillion so will probably try there tomorrow. Anyone know how much it is?

Found the velodrome alright for us. Not sure how early it fills up though as we always arrive early due to the very long journey. Only just over the road and fairly easy exit, if you go in the right direction - with the traffic, not crossing it!!

I park for nowt on the streets round that industrial estate around Lord North Street which is off Hulme Hall Lane, very close to Phillips Park. Used to be a doddle but more people are cottoning on now but you can usually get parked up somewhere round there for nothing.

We used to use Vermilion Cinnabar and it was £5 so I can only presume it is still the same.

We have been using the North Car Park and had exactly the same problem. Queued for ages to get in only to see the £10 sings, then get told it's full. Complained that we'd spent half an hour queueing on Alan Turing Way so why didn't they tell us before. Bloke shouted "why are they still letting people in" I was already at the gates and was difficult to turn round, so said can we just go in? He just gave a look of "do what you want" so we just drove in for free and parked on the road right at the top as the car parks were all full.

Think we will be back at the Vermillion. There is also a couple just up Briscoe Lane near the former abbatoir.

Like I was saying above.. the streets around the Vermillion and Briscoe Lane itself are all free parking and in my experience it's pretty safe.

Aye we've had no problems round there. The only thing to note is that Lord Street can can become gridlock especially for night games as you have cars parked down both sides which leaves it single file. So if you get a lorry trying to get to a unit or people going to the Vermillion at night it can be chaos.

I used to Park on a little one on Score Street which meant I could get home really fast. That was until the little bastards ran off with my money and sold the car park. Now we park at one which is opposite a big warehouse called Seamark. Never gets full and no problems with being held up by road closures after the game which the north car parks do. It was £5 at the Liverpool match.

Piccadilly Industrial Estate at the end of Every Street is a bit of a trek but you can park on the street for free or on one of the businesses there quite safely most don't open late midweek or Saturdays. Easy get away afterwards especially if you go down Mancunian Way towards the M56 or M621.

So if you turn into where the Vermillion is you can park on the street for free? I'll give that a try then I guess and if it's full I'll have a bash at the Vermillion itself.
