Was wondering whether McDermott would look to have gained anything from last season's loan & on this showing he has. Looked really good against a highly rated fullback. Ran himself ragged too.

Guidetti looked like he wasn't fully fit but... I don't know how good he'll become in the air but on the ground, I'm almost scared to say it; he really looks like Shearer did as a kid at Southampton. Only 18 & a few months. He could be a monster by the time he's 21. Not just a bull in a china shop striker but awareness too. We could really have something there. Like to see him get some time in the 1st team off the bench.

Commentator was bumming Ben Mee to death & the lad tries hard & chucks himself in the way of everything but he's too small & too slow & falls over at crucial times, like he did at the end, in just about every game I've ever seen him play. I'm sorry but if he makes it at City I'll show my arse in Burton's window.

Sounds like John Terry. Even the bit about commentators bumming him to death

Unfortunately, the player he most reminds me of is Alan Kernaghan. I'd love to be wrong because he tries dead hard but John Terry for instance can compete in the air with people like Crouch. Ben wouldn't get near him but not only that, he wouldn't get near him for pace either.
