Just made 3 saves and then scored the deciding penalty in the shoot out for Sheff Wed in the paint trophy. Brilliant watch.

Might have been said before but the other week Weaver was in goal when Paul Dickov took his Oldham team to Sheffield. Would have liked to see their reunion.

What a penalty he took! I'll always have a soft spot for him and will never forget his performances for City, especially those saves in the Wembley shootout. I wish him and Wednesday the best of luck this season

Saw him interviewed on SSN & he looked in better shape than he did in his final period at City. Can't help thinking he could have had a better career if he'd looked after himself better as a youngster.

God luck to him though.

Good to see Weaver doing well.

This bloke really played a major part in our renaissance both in Division 2 and Division 1.

I will always remember the game at Maine Road against Ipswich in 99-00 season and it was one of the best goalkeeping displays i've ever seen and we won 1-0... Weaver left the pitch quite literally doing cartwheels and Royle had to tell him later he wasn't allowed to be doing them again!
