Football's most senior administrator attracted the wrath of the women's game last night by suggesting female players wear tighter shorts to promote "a more female aesthetic".
Sepp Blatter, the president of the world governing body Fifa, said women should have skimpier kit to increase the popularity of the game. "Let the women play in more feminine clothes like they do in volleyball," he said.

"They could, for example, have tighter shorts. Female players are pretty, if you excuse me for saying so, and they already have some different rules to men - such as playing with a lighter ball. That decision was taken to create a more female aesthetic, so why not do it in fashion?"

You do though wear a kit, in style if not specifically what YOU wear, designed for men.

Maybe not hotpants, but surely you wouldn't be opposed to having a more tailored and better suited kit.

Wouldn't expect women swimmers to wear speedos, don't see the difference in him suggesting a change even if his actual suggestion was stupid.

It's funny as we were talking about this, this morning at our team photo shoot at COMs. The keep issuing us with kits that are just far too big for us. We don't won't to sound ungrateful but a size 40 top on a woman who is 7 stone and 5ft tall looks stupid. Over the past three seasons Ive been issued with GK shirts that have been size 44, which is just daft.

I was issued with a size 40 GK shirt which is far to big for me and I'm 5ft 8 and 10 stone so I paid £60 out of my own money for a small one as I didn't want to look like a scruff. Umbro do make City kits designed for women so I'm slightly confused as to why we don't get theses ones. Maybe it's something we can look into as the club offer more support to us. I know Arsensal supply there womens team with a kit designed for women and they do look better.

As for shorts, I like to have baggie shorts which most of the girls do so I'm not sure tight shorts would go down to well..:-)

no matter what tho, for me there's nothing like women's tennis. When they shove a ball up those panties i just about jism in my pants. Ashley Harkleroad? i could jack it faster than i could prollee spell her name properly. Look how sad she is to have to take the ball out of her underpants? Tragic.

Are the ladies at home on Sunday before the Arse game? Will there be a big mancityfans.net following?

MHiggi says he's going down early to watch it, I'd be up for that but have a game myself. If my knee progresses at teh current rate that is.

Do you get a decent turn out if it's before a bloke's first team game Andie?
