Kompany is my player of the season so far and despite his odd tendency to go backwards rather than forwards, De Jong is the heartbeat of the team. 100% committed footballer and plays the game the way must of would if were lucky enough to be in his position

agreed. add in carlitos, the god, and that is a great 'spine', as the experts always refer to it. is their a better spine in the prem? nope, not for me.

I cannot think of a better defensive midfielder in the world right now. Yes he doesn't pass it forward much but he never loses the ball and is ALWAYS available to receive it. World class.
Cannot wait for the moment he scores his first goal.

At this present moment in time there definitely isn't. Carlos is simply a world class striker who I wouldn't swap for any other

A week in football is a strange thing, last week we were the worst team in the prem now we have the best spine in the prem?? Can't really argue with De Jong bit though, he is the heartbeat of our time and I'm glad he plays for us!!

I don't think anyone said that we were the worst team, in fact it was quite the opposite Andie. We had the spine but it was just a little spineless, if you know what I mean.

I think all our frustration came from knowing that we are capable of playing the type of football that we showed today. Mancio might have finally thrown away his cautious approach which paid divdends today. Hope we continue to play this way.

Still can't undertand starting with Jo though !! Although I thought he did well and had a hand in 2 goals.

I think we have seen better performances away from home because home teams have to come out, when we play at Coms teams are going to sit in two banks in front of the keeper and make it hard. Mancini has got to earn his corn and find away to bring the kind of form we had today at home.

Beefy, I was having a pop at the kneejerkers who sometimes need to take stock of where we have come from in such a short space of time. Iv waited over 20 years to see us win anything or even just compete and i'm willing to wait that little bit longer and I wish some City fans would just show an ounce of patiences.

Had a hand in a couple of the goals.

I've seen us play like Brazil twice this season. Today and West brom. Both times we were away from home. We also had a striker on the left of the front 3 instead of Milner.
