Yaya's Best Performance In A City Shirt?

Postby King Kev » Sun Nov 21, 2010 7:46 pm

I'm not one of Yaya's biggest fans and recently he has infuriated and frustrated me in equal measure.

But, today I thought he had a brilliant game, are we finally getting a glimpse of why we bought him and what we can expect from him in the future?

I think he's class and he was just as good against West Brom (I think?!),

As long as we have De Jong, the advanced role is where he should play. He reminds me of Vieira in his pomp. sprays the ball around and makes the occasional burst forward.

Total faith in him doing this on a consistant basis if he's allowed to get forward as much as today.

Two goals so far I think?

Without doubt. I've always said that you don't have a cv like his and be shit. It just doesn't tally.
I'm sick of knobheads at CoMS moaning when he gets the ball. Let him settle in, ignore his wage packet and enjoy the game a bit more.

If he can turn in a performance like that every week, we'll be singing his name for yonks.
Has the world gone mad, ..............or is it me?

he was ok today...I think he played better against sunderland.

i'm not the biggest fans aswell, he is alright but not the worth the money he is getting (at the moment), but still has to adapt to the PL. so i'm hoping he will get better and better every week and start feeling at home.

The potential is there for all to see. It's just the attitude that normally isn't. Today however he was fantastic. The issue with him has been that he has been lazy, wandering around and only looking interested when he has the ball.
As you say he was fantastic today though but I want to see him give a run of 5-6 equally impressive performances before we start singing his praises. It's not about performing well when you're 3-0 up, it's about pulling something out of the bag at cruical moments.
Jury still very much out.

Loved the goal. Yaya will come good i'm a little hurt people won't have patience in him, as this was the first player I wanted here after the Thaksin era . I take a look at players like Nasri this is his third year in the PL and he is now looking the shizznick. Yaya has had 15 games for us. I'll put money on it, he will be better if not as good as the old PV for ars

I think he's the real deal and the comparison with Paddy, in his prime, is well placed. Still settling in and probably needs to improve his fitness as he does fade away at the closing stages (reminds me of Elano !).
