Come the new year if Mancini can get his act together, Ballotelli can not get sent off, the fans make their mind up from one week to the next and we could maybe recall 2011 World Player of the year Craig Bellamy back from Cardiff, we could be in a great posistion as the teams around us will be dropping points like flies!!! I want nothing but MAXIMUM points from our next 4 games if we are to keep up with the 3 in front let alone stay ahead of the teams below us.

So now you're starting whole new threads just so everyone can see your snide digs about Bellamy and those who would still have him at the club? Honestly, you're fast becoming the most tedious poster on the board.

It's the truth, can you not handle the truth ;-)

Fulham (A) 3pts
Stoke (A) 1pt
Bolton (H) 3pts
West Ham (A) 3pts
Everton (H) 3pts - think we are finally going to beat them
Newcastle (A) 1pt

Total: 14pts i hope. The next 2 fixtures are really tough tho and if we get a couple of draws then I won't be too downhearted, the Stoke game in particular is fraught with danger for us.

This time we are doing it from 4th spot, I'm optimistic, I'm a twat, an optimistic Turin bound twat.

We should be looking for 18 points, no doubt about that. One game at a time. We're better than Fulham. We're better than Stoke. We're better than Bolton. We're better than West Ham. We're better than Everton. We're better than Newcastle.

i always forget what happened the previous season, but it seems to me, as others have noted that the prem seems a lot closer at this stage, particularly with lets say the top teams not finding the top 4 consitency. Maybe we all say it every year but as we run up to the Xmas period it looks like Chelsea are with some difficulty player wise and could be seen as vunerable, Arsenal look good at the mo but you wouldn't back them to stay that way, the rags are clearly struggling and getting points by the skin of their teeth or the help of the officials, we are up and down and throwing points away, Spurs are not coping with European football and the league together, Liverpool if they were resurging have just lost Gerrard and probably hope along with it, Everton haven't sprung back, Villa are re-building.

The second tier teams, Villa, Everton, Spurs, Liverpool are all over the place.. and for that you would expect the top 4 to have got away more than they have. Chelsea are a bit below their pts per game ratio of last season and have key players out or in doubt.

Whatever the weather the run up to the new year is going to be interesting, my guess is that Chelsea will drop off the top and the top 4 get even tighter. That is assuming we get some fire in our bellies for the next few games.

We could win the next five of those fixtures but we probably wont, and we definitely wont need to. Chelsea have to play salford, Arsenal and Spurs in consecutive games, Arse and Salford have to play each other as well. We may not be top for Christmas but a decent return from those games and we will be there or thereabouts. Feeling much better about that run than I did last week and actually looking forward to the Everton game at home now. They will not defend in numbers, The Gargoyle likes to attack City, we will be ready for them this time, it is about time we turned them over.

If we can go at it with a positive intent, we can get quite a few wins out of that lot & if we do I'd even put up with the usual drab pathetic underperforming home defeat v Everton.
