Agreed. Mancini should of subbed Zab, however this does not deter from the fact that he should of tracked his man.

Milner should have been able to fill that spot but shouldn't have had to. Not good from the management/coaches at all.

Don't think I made it clear on my beef with Kolo. His positional play and general play is decent, but he got totally bossed in the air and it caused all sorts of problems last night.
We needed Lescott in there last night. And especially against Carroll next week.

I think you're right on both counts but I think our shittyness defensively went further than that.

Lescott will surely play v that fucking monster Carroll now & if he gets raped, it'll be all his fault wheras Kolo has a day off because of his red card!

I thought both Vinnie and Kolo looked a little dis-interested last night, I wonder if it had something to do with the Captaincy?

Both our new full backs have been pretty crap since they signed. I don't think it's a case of 'they need to get used to pace' that's rubbish! A good defender is a good defender anywhere. They've also got a fair few caps for their countries as well. Very disappointed with them both.

I think we need to keep things in perspective. Our defence had an off night.

Vinny and Kolo have been great this season in the main.

Kolo had a nightmare, lost out on nearly all his headers, turning around in cirlces for Baines' goal rather than sliding to cut out the pass to Cahill, generally looking scared shitless when the ball was at his feet. he made Boyata look like Bobby Moore last night.

Vinnie, he was all over the place especially with that 30 yard pass he tried that went straight to an Everton player.

All facts so we nee dto put this down to an off day and hope usual service resumes as soon as possible.

I'd also like to hear what Kalarov and Joe hart thought about the first goal.

As for Milner, fuck me where is the player we signed from Villa? Even his workrate is questionable these days. Take the second goal, a slight clash with one of their players and he almost ground to a halt allowing Everton to progress.
lets wish for good days but not forget the bad days

What really pissed me off about the second goal was during the build up David Silva actually tells Milner to track Baines and Milner just lets him run by him.

Harsh on Kolarov who's had some very good games. Boateng's been iffy but with Zaba and Micah fit we have time to blood him.

Milner's been the least impressive signing for me - he played well against Salzburg (big who cares), Liverpool and that's about it. Hope he picks it up.
