Unfortunately following the same Home pattern as last year and that is going to cost us a real crack at the league.

The richest club in the world and still only one decent striker, he needs to get this sorted quickly.

A close fight with the spuds for fourth is the best I can see.

Disapointing

I don't think there has been any dramatic improvement compared to last season but I think we are making steady progress and for the moment, I'll settle for that.
We still seem to have a problem unlocking tight and determined defences and with the players we have available, I am a little disappointed that we aren't better at that by now.
It is still early days and although I think we have the makings of a top side, I think that we still need to strengthen.

Everyone wanted Sven and Les to have more time and things may very well have turned out great under either of those managers but in Mancini, I think we've got something special. I think he's right up there with the best and he's shown himself to be one tough bastard when it's been necessary.

I have no doubts that if someone can deliver for us, it'll be him.

Well I certainly didn't want Sven to have any more time mate. He may have already been fired by the 8-1 but he was fired for a reason.

As for Bobby I am very impressed with the power of the team. Even the hiccups against Everyon, Blackburn, Brum (and you could say Bolton) were games were totally dominated and outclassed the opponents. It's only a matter of time before learn how to win such games every time.

Subs still mystify me a little. With 2 international right backs on the bench, Zabaleta was sent off for 10 minutes to get patched up, during which time we effectively lost the Everton match (from the RB position). ???

But generally it's well done Bobby. He conducts himself like the winner he always has been. Good to see he was as angry as me in the first 20 against Everton!

He's done well. I'm really looking forward to the second half of this season. It should be a lot of fun.

We're doing WORSE than this time last year?!!

But then you've also got to consider the improved quality of the vast majority of our opponents, which is reflected in the games lost by our Top Four rivals.
And also of the number of signings Mancini has made, the impact of the World Cup and injuries on many of our players and the behaviour of Adebayor.
Qualitatively, which is far more important than any naked stats The Meeja will want to throw at us, there's been a HUGE improvement!

As a city fan for almost 35 years I'm deffo not going to shoot my gob off about the current manager, seen, done it too many times to be honest. What I do like about Mancini is the fact he's pissed me off for a while with his tactics/style of play. At the end of the day he knows better than me (begrudgingly) but as we go on the results (overall, cos some have been shit at times) bear him out and we seem to be moving towards proper footie as a result. I was never a Leslie licker because of his past but saw that he was actually progressing our club, (not in all ways) but he was trying the same thing, imo, but didn't get the time. Either way, I think our last two managers have both moved us on from the revolving big dipper ride we used to be known for . . . maybe
