That poor birdie - you tight b******d / the fans

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

That poor birdie - you tight b******d / the fans

Postby Im_Spartacus » Tue Dec 28, 2010 6:25 pm

Well, never before have I seen such entertainment given to so many by a dying animal.

Poor thing kept flying round in circles and landing exhausted on the pitch for anyone who didnt see it.

Highlights were when Joe nearly stood on the poor fucker, to the chants of "You tight bastard", but to me the funniest bit was its 2nd to last landing place just where Micah was playing when I thought somebody had thrown something from the stand, until I realised that the bird was so knackered, it just fell vertically out of the sky from about 50ft up.

Gotta feel sorry for it, but it gave a bit of added interest to a quiet 2nd half - have to say the City and Villa fans were great today too, and in the not too distant future we will have a full ground doing the Poznan.

It was going around and around trying to climb to the skies and escape the baying crowds. Once he realised that it was him who was getting the plaudits, he decided to drop in and take some of the limelight that Pigeoniho rightful claimed. He did look fucked though.

Thrushinho is the new Pigeoninho ;-)

I enjoyed "just a shit Adam Johnson" for Downing.
Any other quality songs today?
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

I enjoyed the villa fans "Lets pretend weve scored a goal" x 2 followed by "3-0 and you fucked it up".

Last i saw the bird it was parked infront of 107 or there abouts after flying there from the villa fans.

It was doing a lap wing of honour!
But lets not be gullable and no point grousing about this.
It was a pheasant interlude during the game but heron we should say no more about it!

Villa fans were great yesterday. Great sense of humour with some of their chants, and they seemed to be really enjoying themselves regardless of the score.

The guy who's in charge of the big screen actually had the good sense to show a replay of Hart nearly kicking that bird into orbit, whick I though was pretty quick. They do make good use of those screens.

I fully agree with this. They didn't bring many but those who made the journey did their club proud with their support and good humour.

They reminded me of how we used to be a few years back.

Totally agree, very good support by those that bothered. The bird was funny but a bit sad. It looked knackered. I am a big animal logger, so it pulled a heart string. It just could not get any height it was so gone.

The Poznan was a joy to behold and take part in. I have a minute recording of it, albeit in shite iPhone quality. Anyone know how I can share it? It includes the 4th goal.
