If only he could score as many as Horlock, we would maybe have a decent player on our hands.

Hahaha, that's a tad snide on superKev methinks!

You don't have to score loads of goals to be a decent player. He's been performing consistently well throughout the vast majority of his career, City included. He's great at what he does. HIs positional sense, reading of a game, breaking up play, starting attacks and linking build up play is absolutely spot on, all the more so considering he has a fat arse, and isn't rapid.

It irritates me when people harp on about him being crap or average, just because they fail to appreciate what he does for the team. How can people think like this expect to be taken seriously on footballing matters? If you don't like Barry, it's a black mark against your football sense. FACT! And if that sounds condescending; good, you deserve it.

And don't give me that 'all about opinions' guff cos it's complete rubbish. In my opinion.

You don't have to score loads of goals, but assuming De Jong is never going to score, then the rest have to chip in and share the load. GB has been sadly lacking in this department both seasons and needs to get himself into positions more often where he can use his left foot to good effect.

It's a good point about others chipping in and Nige should be no exception. Barry is how Uwe's SBB describes him and not a forward minded player, his pace puts paid to that. However, when you look at the stat's he's not doing too bad compared to others. Only Carlos and Yaya have more goal's with Carlos way out in front. Yaya only has 3 and we have been playing him sometimes as a second striker. Mario and AJ only have the same as Barry although they haven't had as much game time.

The problem for me isn't the individuals, but more of our previous tactic's and game plan's and only now are we seeing players get in more advanced position's. I expect more goal's to come, especially at home, now that Mancio, and the players, trust the back-line.

Exactly Beefy. No we are more attack minded we will see more players getting forward and therefore more scorers.Gaz Baz will score one or two more I am sure but we will also see Kolarov,Richards,Silva,AJ,Milner ( yes really),Yaya, and maybe others on the scoresheet too.

He's super fast! Like faster than someone like Ned. He's got a better eye for goal than Tevez and tackles better than Nige. I'd go as far as saying he's more skillful than AJ and can pick a player out better than Silva. He's better at handballing it then Hart and has a bigger dick than Vieira.

He's a player I have to really actively focus on to take any notice of him during a game. For me he truly is the invisible man.

But yes, his form has been good and it's great to see him get on the scoresheet. Nice to have a midfielder contribute, something we mentioned pre game.
