Who Brian Kidd Reminds Me Of

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Who Brian Kidd Reminds Me Of

Postby The Original Special One » Fri Dec 31, 2010 4:32 am

Dennis Hopper's character in 'Apocalypse Now', the way he seems to worship the ground Mancini walks on
(have you ever heard him refer to Mancini in interviews, or seen the look in his eyes?)
Not that I'm saying its necessarily a bad thing, if it gets results!

I love Kiddo since I knew him.
I would be that profesional, cool and wise myself - full stop

Thanks for starting the thread, it's quite a long time I would have started a "[Sir] Brian Kidd appreciation thread" but I am a wum so I couldnt.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Took me time to get used to him when he signed in the 70s. But then he started scoring goals so that was OK. Excellent number 2 and just what his manager needs if you ask me. (Crap number 1 of course, like so many!)

So who was responsible for his appointment? Was it Marwood?
If so, then that's another feather in his cap, I reckon.
Has the world gone mad, ..............or is it me?

True professional and with his interviews it just came across to me that he is a perfect number 2.

Hi Mr H.......could he also be regarded as a Sancho Panza figure to our own Don Quixote, or even a Tonto ?? I supose it's too much to ask for a Malcolm Allisonesque equivalent ??

I agree, always thought he was the best No 2. Strange though, in the past, when he got the chance to be No1 he was completely Number 2.

Our Ray Wilkins, might you say?

His spell as manager at Blackburn shows that he's no number one, but he has been a great assistant elsewhere.

Poor analogies my friend. Although Sancho Panza was quite smart Don Quixote was an insane thickhead with senile dementure to boot. Whilst 'Tonto' of course means 'idiot' or 'stupid' in Spanish. American racist TV at it's 50s best!

Too low-key for Big Mal.

Does the job though.

Certainly not Curly to Bobby Manc's Moe, and I hope it never gets to that stage.
Their relationship is the exact opposite to that one
