Its a first for us isnt it? I cant remember a manager having anything good to say about in such a way. even if it is about the behind the scenes stuff.

The club even has some Rock (sweet type, not stone type) made with City v Blackpool running though it; how good is that!

I like the guy. Sure he shoots from the hip, often getting it wrong, but I'd rather we had 10 more of him than most of the boring stage-managed interviews the Wengers et al give. He certainly balanced his pre-match comments with some very complimentary post-match ones

Exactly, you might not always like what he says, he might come off looking a complete tool, but he is interesting and gets a reaction.

The Rooney thing "how wrong is that?" made me laugh.

Their disallowed goal was 100% the correct decision.

I used to like him a lot & I want to like him now but I find it hard to believe that he's not deliberately trying to be controversial & outspoken half the time because it's helping his image. A sort of Harry Redknapp wannabe.

Whenever he starts talking normally about something, or even being complimentary, as with City, he'll suddenly go off at a tangent as if he realises he's not saying anything memorable & has to get a quotable comment in before the interview ends.

My jury's definitely out on him as a bloke but I greatly admire what he's doing with Blackpool.
