2 weeks sound plausible to me to be honest, his injury looked bad when it happened.

I hope it is not true though and that he can play. We look devoid of ideas when he is not playing.

If true that will be very disappointing indeed. But it is a Guardian report so i will believe it when it is on the OS.

Well I've just checked Google news in Spain (google.es noticias) and the only mention of Silva is that he went off injured. One can only assume that a Guardian reporter popped over to Gran Canaria to see his mum.

Haven't watched it yet.. but Bob said Barry and Milner were looking forward to the Villa game and neither played.. i'm starting to take what he says in the pressers with a pinch of salt. However assuming it is correct we still have enough firepower against a dodgy Arse defence. it will be the midfield where we need to win the game imo.

Fuclin Gooner twats - avoid playing us at full strength again - no chance if they´re both out - was thinking Balo would turn the twats over - gonna be a backs to the wall 1-0 niller for sure now with that Catalan twat scoring the winner

It isn't the end of the world.. just similar to when Carlos is out.. re-jig, cope with it and adopt other ways of playing. We are not a one-man team and we have to prove it again.

Could have really done with him against Arsenal though, I feel like he makes us tick. Sure Tevez scored the majority of the goals but I actually thing Silva is more important to us.

Will be tough against Arsenal now. Just hope that Milner can put in a performance again and AJ does not go into hiding.

Agreed. No point in assembling a quality squad to cope with these situations if we go to pieces because one player is missing.

Gutted he's out but not too disheartened, we still have more than enough quality to cause them serious problems going forward and with our back four at the moment we should do well.
