Yes, he is one of the most injury prone players ever.
I remember story in Total Football some ten years ago about 'future of England'. Kirkland, Weaver and Green were mentioned as surefire to be fighting for England jersey at this stage and that this was the best goalkeeper classes ever. Funny old game, eh?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
