RAWK updates. Seems it's some dastardly RAG twat - why am I not surprised:

UPDATE 1Some of you may already be aware of a post made by a RAWK user yesterday which sickeningly likened Roy Hodgson to Hillsborough. There were two attempts to make this post, both were removed immediately by the site staff and the user was banned from the site indefinitely. Despite this screenshots of the offending post soon started appearing all over other fansites, Facebook and Twitter with accompanying opprobrium. The user involved being traced and having his home address details published along with various threats.

The user has protested his innocence and as a result we have spent a considerable amount of time looking into what happened. We are continuing to investigate but it appears that the offending post put on RAWK in very suspicious circumstances, from IP addresses not normally associated with this users account, these IP addresses have been logged. It seems probable that the user has had his personal details breached by a third party and these were then used by the same third party to make the posts on here.

The post was removed within minutes of it appearing online on RAWK. The opportunity to get a screen grab of the piece was extremely limited, and it's rapid dispersal through Twitter is both disappointing and unusual. As investigations stand the earliest posting of the screenshots are within an hour of the event taking place when they were posted on Red Cafe at 3.30pm yesterday. The RAWK moderators are taking this issue very seriously and are working with the user to assist him in his attempts to find out how his account was breached. Given the level of personal abuse and threats that this individual has received, the site will also comply with any requests from the police regarding this issue.

For the sake of the user himself and in order to try and protect all the good work done by members of the various Hillsborough campaign groups we would urge that if you see the 'Hillsborough' smear being repeated on Twitter or any other media please forward this message to the offending site or individual.

There is further discussion on this here. We would be particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has found references to the screenshots or the posts from earlier than 3.30pm yesterday.

UPDATE 2An update.

A similar post has just been made supposedly by user Rob K. The post was made from the same IP as yesterdays post. The site is being hacked in an organised attempt by MUFC fans to try and smear Liverpool fans about Hillsborough. The perpetrators of said posts are immediately posting the screenshots on MUFC sites and sermonising about the morals of Liverpool fans.

I guess that is how some people get their kicks.

UPDATE 3Another update. Both posts were only on the site for a minute or so. Despite this the same user managed to get screen captures and have them posted on Red Cafe within minutes. Lucky coincidence? An obsessive who monitors every thread on RAWK 24/7 just in case. Or someone who clearly knew the posts were there because they were involved in there creation?

Typical Scousers, they're always the victims, nothing is ever their fault.

Let me get this right. They are playing Victims to a post based on being Victims which was also based upon them being Victims?

Have these people no shame!

Smells pretty much like rag shits are involved to me tbh.

Just the kind of typical, pathetic, nasty, lowlife, shithouse, thing they would do.

Sounds to me like the Board Owners are trying to smooth things over after a seriously misjudged post by one of their members and by blaming another clubs supporters saves face to all their fans.

Hmm. I thought it smelt of rag the 1st time I read it tbh. I know scousers are thick but I recon they all know what kind of reaction commemts like that would bring & the fact it's been spread around so quickly, well it's fairly typical of rag handiwork imo.

They are a despicable bunch of wankers & this is right up their street, just like the aeroplanes they do at games etc.

I got it off an Evertonian - and reading it again, it does seem too far-fetched to be true, even for a scouser.

You maybe right mate but I can still imagine some fucked up Scouser thinking that this was what their fans wanted to hear. The post was just too well ochestrated for a Rag IMO.

They also say minutes before it hit the internet, but one of the original 'Conspiracy' threads that I saw actually said it was a couple of hours before it went round. After that, everybody would be hanging around the site for a new piece to chomp on.
