Khaldoon talking to Thierry Henry

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Khaldoon talking to Thierry Henry

Postby Curlie » Mon Jan 10, 2011 4:26 pm

Just saw a clip on Sky about Thierry Henry training with Arse. Now it could have been an archive clip but Khaldoon al Mubarak was standing behind Henry and having a word with him.
I'm guessing they were at a game, as Henry was sporting a red and white scarf.
Probably just great observation on my part and nothing more. But then, I would! Can't be any worst than Jo.
Oh and as a btw Sharleen Spiteri was standing beside Henry and his beautiful blonde bird on the other side. And yes, I would!
City are coming to get you!

Didn't Henry swear he'd never play for another Premier League club though?

I can't imagine he'd say that & then a couple of weeks later, after a chance conversation, totally chuck those words down the toilet & agree to play for another PL club if they were willing to pay his wages.

That would mean he was a lying, bullshitting, self publicising, shallow, over rated, scheming, posing, poncing, fucking twat.

Other than Henry and his mistresses, what was Khaldoon doing there; or have I missed summat?

Perhaps he was watching that young lad at Arse they are all raving about. Fabragas or something like that. Bet Ted could find a place in our squad for him.
On reflection, I was thinking the clip may have been from our game at the Emirates last week.

Still, I'd find it a little strange that he's there.

I wonder if that's what Mancini was talking to Fabregas about on the way off the pitch. And that's why Fabregas wouldn't shake hands, Mancini said 'No' to him getting a Cornetto thrown in with the deal.

i saw them shake hands Beefy. Mancini first turned away from him in disgust while they argued about the red card, and then Roberto turned back around and did a quick shake with him and said something...

anyone else see it?

cheers

Yes, I saw that as well. I think Roberto took issue with the way Fabregas lobbied for Zabaleta to get sent off. (And Boyata earlier in the season).

But Mancini did kind of this weird smile on his face after a while and the two did end up shaking hands.

Henry in his prime was in my top 5 players ever to watch as a neutral.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Didn't see that, but what changes. Thought Fabegas just looked at him with a shocked expression when Mancio put his hand out. Thought Mancio said 'No Cornetto for you sonny Jim', but I could be wrong ;-)
