Player Ratings

Hart- Billybigballs lately, should have turned the shot around the post instead of parrying- 6
Boateng- Dont get what he offers over Micah and Zabs - 5
Toure- Average say no more- 6
Kompany- Fantastic when asked -8
Kolarov- Is Kolarov serbian for Bridge- 5
Barry- Didn't think he should have come off- 6
Silva- all too fast and frenetic for him- 5
Yaya- useless lump and goes hiding, strolls around too kool for skool- 4
De Jong- Hardly noticed him playing-5
Tevez- Poor (by his standards) maybe getting tired at this point of the season because of the physical effort he gives every game -7
Dzeko- No point in rating him for a few games because he will come good i think- maybe an honourable 7 for effort
Johnson- Absolutely brilliant at times but maybe takes one twist too many before passing/crossing- 7
Mancini- After 30 mins we knew the Villa plan, should have went for it earlier and threw on Milner as well as Johnson- 5
Fans- Sang hearts whole 90 mins - 10

Hart - 5
Boateng - 6
Kolarov - 7
K Toure - 4
Kompany - 7
De Jong - 6
Barry - 3
Silva - 3
Y Toure - 3
Johnson - 7
Tevez - 5
Dzeko - 3

Dictated the play by means of our reputation, not by way of creativity or entertaining football. Insipid all round from the midfield - De Jong was the only one shooting or play any sort of pass longer than 3m (his diagonal balls to Tevez out left were impressive).

Dzeko roaming wide and playing crosses in for Tevez is also pointless. Not sure why we persisted with that.

I am really frustrated as i am sure we all are after that so will have a go at this and bear with me I am not in a generous mood.
Hart 4 didn't have much to do of course but for me he gave them the goal with a bad parry whcih he should have turned away
Boateng 6 I thought he did almost everything about right even if some will go for him because they don't like him.
Toure 6 nothing to say
Vinnie 6 " " " "
Kolarov 7 a little extra as he was our most threatening player for a while
NDJ 5 didnt do much wrong but when we need a creator it isn't Nigel. Shame about the shot though
Barry 6 functional but limited
Yaya 4 fairly irrelevant in the game. He seesm to need space to show his value and Villa wernt giving any
Silva 5 very quiet and just didn't find any passes of note today
Tevez 5 not even as busy as usual and just a poor game
Dzeko 5 I saw quality again but with everyone around him struggling he suffered. That back post header should maybe have been on target

AJ 8 because he was the only threat when he came on and frightened them at least

Saturday 22nd but feels like Friday 13th.
Hart 5 He could have done better at Villas goal.
Boateng 6 His best game so far.Should be faster.
Toure 6 OK. Better in the air then normal
Vinnie 6 Rarely under perform and did not so tonight either.
Kolarov 7 He's getting better and better.
NDJ 6 Not a Maradona .
Barry 5 Lost possesion to many times and he can't cope with the boo-boys
Yaya 5 Sometimes he looks clumpsy but effective. Today mostly clumpsy.
Silva 6 Not back yet from injury. Looks scared when gingerman and Dunne came hunting for bones
Tevez 6 Works, but holds the ball little too long all night. He took on 4 Wolves but couldn't take 5 Villians on.
Dzeko 6 Not a wonder start to the City career but he has good technique for his length( A rich mans Crouch)
AJ 8 Hes tricky and offered width when came on.

Mancini 5 This is football.

Should be lesson learned already. Bottled it for the second year running. Just hope his form doesn't drop for several games now, the way it did last season.

dunno but vinnie and ndj played well yet again. thought kolarov was fantastic first half.

dzeko has a wonderful touch and a great football brain - am always sceptical about the next wonderkid but was impressed and think he'll come good.

zabba should be first choice left/right back. silva and tevez had poor games. the brothers toure look far from world class to me, yaya in particular is starting to annoy me with his all-round game.

for those shoutin bout johnson - he's an excellent sub to bring on but doesn't do enough over 90 mins for me.

will be happy if we beat spurs to the top 4 spot this season, but bobby has won me over now and i think we'll be ace next season. cool.
