Predictions On Our Tables Tab

Postby King Kev » Sat Jan 22, 2011 2:49 pm

I was just looking around the 'Tables' page and I noticed that, not only can you get a predicted final table, but it will also tell you what results it has predicted to get to that table.

Today's predictions are;

  • Arsenal 2 0 Wigan Athletic
  • Aston Villa 0 1 Manchester City
  • Blackpool 1 0 Sunderland
  • Everton 1 0 West Ham United
  • Fulham 1 0 Stoke City
  • Scum 3 0 Birmingham City
  • Newcastle United 2 0 Tottenham Hotspur

If these turn out to be anywhere near accurate I might start having a few accumulator bets on them in the coming weeks.

Hi mate,

I might be being dense as usual but where exactly do these predictions come from?

Thanks for this thread as I have never noticed or looked at the tables tab.

Made me laugh too when I looked at the final predictions to see the Scum shown as losing 6 games. Now that would be fun in the 2nd half of the season.

HERE mate, click on the bit under the league table where it says 'This predicted table was calculated by predicting the scores that you may reveal below' - it's on the 'Tables' tab at the top.

I'm not sure mate, the data is fed in from an external source. I presume it's based on previous scores and results but I don't know the formula they use.

Only 3 correct results and 0 correct scores!

I don't think I will bother with the bets!

Hmm Chelsea would need to lose another 6 games......

If we get 70 points we will be top 4. However I reckon league will be won with 80 points.
